🐾 Meet a real sweetheart — A Beautiful Collie with Brains, Beauty, and So Much Love to Give! 🐾

✨ This sweetheart is looking for her perfect forever home! ✨

She is a gorgeous rough, tri-colored Collie with an exceptional mind, lovely manners, and a gentle, affectionate heart. Originally intended to be a show dog, she still carries that polished training, impressive intelligence, and eagerness to learn. But her favorite place to be? Right by the side of her people. ❤️

🏡 This sweetheart is a dream indoors! This 7-year old gal is calm, loving, and deeply bonded to her humans. She is housetrained, crate trained, and can be trusted loose in the home as long as there are no cats. She knows several show-style commands, including off, down, stay, and stand. She travels well in a crate, is leash trained, handles loud noises without issue, and does well with both men and women.

🧠 She is as clever as she is beautiful! Her intelligence is impressive — she has figured out how to open slide locks and unhook carabiners. Because of this, she needs secure containment and an adopter who appreciates a smart dog who can keep them on their toes! She also thrives when her mind is engaged and she has plenty of interaction with her people.

💗 What does she need in her forever home?

🐾 An adult or family prepared to provide plenty of interaction, enrichment, and mental stimulation.

🐱 A cat-free home within 300 miles of Cleveland, Ohio

🏡 A secure environment with someone who understands her cleverness and will ensure she stays safely contained.

🌳 An adopter who understands that while she is calm and wonderful indoors, she may bark somewhat when outside.

Watch this video: COLLIE FEST 2026 brought collie lovers together at Ray Mellert Park for a memorable day of friendship, fun, and furry companions. Hosted by Northeast Ohio Collie Rescue, the event welcomed at least 44 people and 33 dogs, with attendees traveling from across the region—including the farthest traveler from Maryland.

Despite the rain, the celebration featured a festive Parade of Dogs led by bagpiper Sam Aiden Day, a successful potluck cookout, volunteer recognition, a puppy available for adoption, and raffle baskets raising funds to help more dogs in need. It was the first rainy NEOCR picnic in more than 30 years—but the weather couldn't dampen the spirit of Collie Fest 2026!

Join us for a fun, fall‑themed celebration on Saturday, October 17 from 11 AM–1 PM at beautiful Squire’s Castle!

📍 Meet at the Pavilion!
2844 River Road, Willoughby Hills, OH 44094

We’ll have c***r and donuts ready for you… (bring your own coffee)
You bring the dogs and the costumes!
(And yes — people are welcome to dress up too.)

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🐶 This is a family‑friendly, dog‑friendly event.
To keep things comfortable for all pups and kids, scary or intense costumes aren’t appropriate — think cute, silly, or seasonal instead.

🐕 Per park rules, all dogs must remain on a leash at all times.

Come enjoy wagging tails, fall colors, and plenty of Collie charm. We can’t wait to see everyone’s creative outfits and happy faces.

From October through December 2026, all donations made to Northeast Ohio Collie Rescue will support the Cosmo Fund, unless you tell us otherwise.

The Cosmo Fund is our safety net for senior Collies and forever fosters who need extra medical support or long‑term care. Your fourth‑quarter gifts help us provide comfort, treatment, and stability to the dogs who rely on us most.

If you prefer your donation to go to our General Fund or Collies in Care, just note that when you give.
And don’t forget—many employers offer matching programs, which can double the impact of your gift.

Why should you rescue a Collie? 🐾❤️

Because sometimes the dog who needs you the most will end up being the one who changes your life.

Collies are incredibly intelligent, loyal, gentle, and deeply connected to their people. They notice everything. They learn your routines, read your emotions, and somehow always seem to know when you need them most.

But a rescue Collie can be something especially special.

They may come with a past you’ll never fully know. Maybe they were overlooked. Maybe they didn’t get the love, patience, or stability they deserved. Maybe they’re scared at first and unsure whether they can trust you.

And then something amazing happens.

Little by little, they realize that YOU are their home.

You get to watch a dog who was once uncertain become confident. You get to see their personality come out. You get the first tail wag, the first goofy moment, the first time they choose to curl up beside you because they finally know they’re safe.

And in return, you get a companion who loves with their whole heart.

Rescuing a Collie isn’t about “saving” a dog and expecting gratitude.

It’s about giving a dog the chance to finally be the dog they were always meant to be.

You aren’t just giving them a home.

You’re becoming their home. ❤️🐾

CollieFest is TOMORROW, and we’re excited to see you — especially those traveling from quite a distance.

A QUICK WEATHER UPDATE: the forecast isn’t looking great. If we get rain, we will still hold the picnic as planned. However, if there is lightning at any point, we will cancel for safety.

Please keep an eye on the weather for Medina, Ohio.

🐾 CollieFest 2026 — REMINDER!

We’re thrilled to welcome everyone to CollieFest NEXT SUNDAY September 20 from 11 AM–3 PM.

This beautiful park offers everything we love for a Collie gathering, including a fenced dog park right beside the pavilion. It’s the perfect place for Collies to run, play, and enjoy the day safely.
