Global Care Alliance Helping the forgotten people of the world. Alleviating poverty, giving hope, and showing the love of Jesus to underserved people worldwide.

Burundi ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฎ Nepal ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ต Mexico ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ Lebanon ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ง Global Care Alliance, originally known as The Frances Kitchen Project, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) founded in 2007 by Niles Sharif. Our very first project was to build a stand-alone kitchen at a severely impoverished school in the Mexican city of Punta Colonet. Our partner in that project was a lady named Frances Sifuentes, hence the name of our organization. Fran

ces continues to feed 150-200 children a hot and healthy meal each and every school day throughout the year. For many of the children attending the school, the meal they are served by Frances is the only hot meal they ever get. We also built and operate a 4,000 square foot community center in the city of Vicente Guerrero, Mexico. The community center offers free public classes to people in this very poor farming community. Classes include English, computers, dance, music lessons, just to name a few. The community center also has a library and serves as a meeting place for the community. Most recently, we have begun working in the African nation of Burundi. Burundi is part of the Congo region of central Africa and is considered one of the five poorest countries on earth. Hunger and disease are rampant, especially in the pygmy community with whom we are working. So far, we have built 72 houses in the village of Gahararo, started a porridge program to reduce starvation, and paid for medical care of the village's residents. We plan to continue our work in Burundi over the coming years, especially as we have seen the incredible difference we are making. Please consider partnering with our organization as we continue our important work in Mexico and Burundi. Additional information is available by contacting Niles Sharif at [email protected]

For generations, their powerful rhythms have brought communities together in celebration, resilience, and joy. Experiencing this extraordinary tradition firsthand is something we will never forget. ๐Ÿ’›

The road to Gakenke is long, rough, and often forgotten by the outside world. But for the people who call this village home, it is worth every mile.

These photos capture a small part of the journey to a community that has overcome incredible hardship and chosen a path of hope, reconciliation, and renewal. We are honored to walk alongside them and see firsthand the work God is doing in Gakenke.

Thank you for making journeys like this possible. ๐Ÿ’›

To all of you who have supported and prayed for this work thank you. Because of you, we were able to serve over 500,000 meals this past year, and today, more than 1,000 children are being fed every single day in Burundi. These are not just numbers they are real lives, real children, real hope. What youโ€™ve helped make possible is something truly meaningful, and we are deeply grateful. God bless you. ๐Ÿ’›

High in the foothills of the Himalayas, life looks simple, but it isnโ€™t easy. Families here face real challenges every day, from access to food to education and basic resources. And yet, what stands out most is not the hardship, but the strength, the faith, and the way communities come together.
These moments, sharing food, gathering, and worshiping are a reminder of what truly matters. Through your support, GCA is able to walk alongside villages like this, helping provide food, education, and opportunities for a better future.
This is what your support makes possible. Thank you for being part of it. ๐Ÿ’›

In Burundi, joy is often how gratitude is shared. When communities come together like this, singing, dancing, celebrating, itโ€™s their way of saying thank you. Not with words, but with their whole hearts. Weโ€™re grateful to witness it, and grateful to you for making moments like this possible. ๐Ÿ’›

For many children here, life begins with challenges most of us will never fully understand; hunger, limited access to education, and daily uncertainty. These are not just statistics, but real lives and real stories. Through your support, GCA is working to provide meals, education, and care, helping restore dignity and bring hope to communities that need it most. This is the difference youโ€™re making. ๐Ÿ’›

Nearly 1,000 children at Gakenke Primary School currently share just four pit toilets.
NO running water. NO septic systems. Just deep holes in the ground that create serious health risks for students and families.
But we believe simple, sustainable solutions can change lives. ๐Ÿ’›
Weโ€™re currently exploring ecological sanitation systems that could dramatically improve health conditions for these children and their community. Safe sanitation may seem basic, but for these students, it could mean better health, dignity, and a safer future.

Last week, we shared a video about a new village weโ€™ll soon be working with in Burundi: Gachenge. Its story is heartbreaking, powerful, and ultimately full of hope.

Weโ€™ll soon be sending out a deeper update explaining why this village matters so much and why we believe this work can have a lasting impact.

If youโ€™d like to receive the full story and future updates, please visit globalcarealliance.org and join our mailing list. ๐Ÿ’›
