UCSD Pre-Dental Society & Student-Run Free Dental Clinics

The Pre-Dental Society at UC San Diego empowers aspiring dental professionals through education, community outreach, and leadership.

The first thing somebody notices about another person is a smile. A smile exudes confidence and happiness. We aim to re-instill confidence in those who had lost it by recreating smiles and relieving people of debilitating oral pain. We believe that when a person no longer has to worry about oral pain or missing teeth they can focus on the things that are important in their lives; family, finding a

job, paying the bills. Since our inception we have provided over 6.3 million dollars worth of free dental care to the underserved in San Diego. We run 4 clinics, with a 5th opening soon; but we also partner with the US Navy to provide care abroad. Please donate and support so we can continue recreating smiles and allowing people to focus are their lives, pain free.

Dr. Erick Sato, an endodontist and former UCSD Pre-Dental Society member, is currently a volunteer in the Free Dental Clinics. He will discuss his journey through dental school, doing a GPR, and an endodontic residency. He will also discuss the science and techniques behind endodontics. Dr. Sato will be expanding upon his previous lectures making this of interest to all new and returning members!
