- Heat indexes up to 112 degrees
- High temperature and humidity
- Hydrate, wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing, limit strenuous outdoor activity, watch for signs of heat related illness.
- Remain indoors if possible.

NEW FLASH FLOOD WARNING!!!

Flash Flood Warning issued July 15 at 6:36AM CDT until July 15 at 11:30AM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Western Medina County in south central Texas...

* Until 1130 AM CDT.

* At 636 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen in the last hour on top of Tuesday's rain. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area.

Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Hondo, D'Hanis, Yancey and Hill Country State Natural Area.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

It is with sadness that we learn of the passing of longtime AMLGC member Ken Stuart. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Kenneth Charles Stuart, 76, worked on base as a weapons physicist. He was driving home Saturday night when he got caught up in high water, officials say.
