Hardin Valley had their celebration to recognize their Large School title at the Elementary Elite Championships! They have a few of these banners and are pumped to put another one on the wall!

Big day at Shannondale Elementary celebrating their Elite Championship for Small Schools! This was a back to back victory and they’re excited to return next year and try for a threepeat!

It was a memorable night at UT! Everyone did their best and managed to complete all the prelims of the 100/200, the finals of the 400/800 and had to postpone right before the 4x1. The meet is not over! We will conclude at Karns HS next Monday where we left off. PE teachers will receive more concrete details soon and share that with qualified families.

This week is the meet (pun intended) and potatoes of the season. Last night was a great way to kickoff the week but tonight is the quickly growing Knoxville Private School Meet 1 at CAK. Tomorrow there is a HS meet at Halls plus the return of the KCS Elementary Elite Championships to UTK. Over 950 athletes will be on Tom Black Track tomorrow which will be the first of three days that KYA and KTC will be at UT. Friday and Saturday all eyes will be on the Vol Track Classic which has blown up to 1750 athletes and almost 100 teams! There is a ton of action this week with state quaflifiers and the Knox County MS Championships next week!

If you remember the last track meet hosted by Fulton, don’t forget to take your aspirin before bed. This is a big deal tonight as Fulton led by our summer competitive HC - Dom Williams is launching the Fulton HS Sprint Invite. A meet with no distance events and limited field events. Focusing on what Fulton is known for - Sprints. What a cool idea!

What a weekend ahead! If you love track and field or road running, there’s something for you!

Imagine this:

You can go to Farragut HS in the morning and catch some great field events before seeing the start of the running events. Results on live.knoxvilleyouthathletics.org

Drive down Kingston and Cumberland to catch the Tennessee Invite featuring premier college competition.

Afterwards you walk over to Worlds Fair Park to see the Kids Run and 5K athletes Saturday evening as part of the Knoxville Marathon Weekend.

Sunday you wake up, grab your cowbells, a coffee and homemade signs to cheer on thousands running through the streets of Knoxville for the Half and Full Marathon!

We had a little fun running a 1600 Chase (name tbd). The clock counts down starting with the lowest seeded athlete. The next athlete takes off when the clock hits their seed. The top seed starts last and has to try to catch the field. If they finish before the clock strikes 0, then they beat their seed time. What do you think? milesplit_tennessee milesplit
