Great projects today at the California FFA State Finals for Ag Mechanics Fair hosted by the Fresno city Welding Program. Kolby won the state championship for division 2, implements of husbandry with an aluminum livestock popper first created at the Fresno City Fab Contest. Levi won the state championship in division 4, trailers and flatbeds with the 5x8 utility trailer that took home 2nd place in the Fresno ROP sparks and sawdust competition earlier this spring. Lucas had the 3rd high in food processing and cookers with his reverse flow offset smoker and finally Vitaly was 4th high in food processing and cookers with a double Santa Maria Grill. Crazy part of the day was we were in the 3 way tie for the overall high team, but when broken by the tie breaker we are still proud of our 3rd place finish. Can’t wait to see what projects make the show next year!

Thank you for supporting our 1st Viking Market! It was a huge success!

Every student made multiple sales and students even SOLD OUT of products!

We did close early due to heat and it slowing in the afternoon. If plants are what you’re looking for please reach out. We have around 20 flats of 6-packs left that we would love to make a deal on!

Our next student vendor is Jack Hambleton! Jack is a senior in our program and has been in Ag all 4 years! He makes custom waving wooden flags and will have 3 different sizes available.

Another vendor joining the Market is our Viking Fabrication program!!
Viking Fabrication is the Ag Mech and Fabrication based portion of our Ag Department. Students will be marketing custom fire pits and BBQ’s, some already made and some ready to order!

The Viking Market is NOT just for student vendors! It’s also a place for other programs on campus to showcase what their students are doing and market their products!

Viking Productions is the graphic design program hosted for both KHS and OHS. Students will be marketing their products alongside program advisor Matt Avila as a part of this weekends Viking Market! Grab yourself some custom Viking merch! Options could include T-Shirts, Hats, Stickers and Keychains.

It’s the final countdown to our 1st annual Viking Market! We hope to see you this Saturday at the school farm!

Today’s student Vendor Spotlight is Landon Reddell!! Landon is a sophomore in our program and has taken classes in Ag Mechanics and Ag Science. Landon will be selling fresh homemade sandwich bread that is sure to bring some fresh delicious flavors into your home!

Today’s student vendor spotlight is Cody Caglia! Cody is a sophomore in our Ag Program and has taken classes in Ag Science and Ag Mechanics. As a part of his SAE project Cody divides and propagates palms and other trees. He will be marketing them in various sizes from 1 Gallon and up.
