Calling all youth livestock exhibitors near Washington, D.C! 🐏🐮🐷🐐

History is happening on the National Mall this summer, and we want you to be part of it. Join us as a Youth Agricultural Ambassador during the 250th anniversary celebration of our nation at this year’s Great American State Fair. You’ll represent the next generation of agriculture by showcasing your animals and engaging directly with thousands of fairgoers from 10:00 AM–11:30 AM each day.

When: June 25 – July 10
Where: Washington, D.C. on the National Mall

Day 2 of the Fredericksburg Area 4-H & FFA Jr. Livestock Show and Sale did not disappoint for the 4-H youth of King George! It was another day filled with fun, laughter, lasting friendships (new and old), plenty of ribbons and trips to the backdrop! 😎🍀🐑🔥

Some of yesterday’s highlights included: Sydney Connolly - 2026 Lamb Herdsman Award, Luke Davidson - 1st in Poster Contest (and 1st year in 4-H), Madison Morris - Reserve Champion Intermediate Lamb Showmanship, William Morris - 4th Junior Lamb Showmanship, and Madelyn Bowersox - 3rd Novice Lamb Showmanship!

A huge THANK YOU to all of our club sponsors this year and to those who also came out to support our projects at the Sale. Most of all, a HUGE thank you to Sarah and Travis Callison for all of your support for our youth members this year. Not only did you open your farm again and again for learning opportunities, you were present both days rooting them on and purchasing projects that they worked so hard on. We are forever grateful! 🥰
