🍂⚽ Fall 2026 Season Update – King George Football Club ⚽🍂

The countdown is on! We are excited to kick off another exciting season with our KGFC families. Thank you to everyone who has registered, completed paperwork, and helped us continue to grow our club.

Here are a few important upcoming dates to mark on your calendars:

📅 September 4 – League schedules expected to be released.

⚽ Week of August 18 – Team practices begin. Practice times and locations are in SportsBase. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your first practice.

👕 Uniforms – New uniforms have been ordered and will be distributed as soon as they arrive.

🏆 September 12 – Opening day of league play!

We are looking forward to a season filled with development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and plenty of fun. Whether you're a returning player or joining us for the first time, we're excited to have you as part of the KGFC family.

⚽ How's the 100 Touch, 30-Day Challenge going? ⚽

Are you still putting in the work?

The excitement is always high at the beginning of a challenge, but the real growth happens when you stay committed after the first few days. Every touch matters. Every day you spend working on your ball mastery is another step toward becoming a more confident and skilled player.

Remember, this challenge isn't about being perfect—it's about being consistent.

✅ 100 touches a day
✅ Just a few minutes of work
✅ 30 days of commitment
✅ Big improvements in ball control and confidence

If you've missed a day, don't worry. Pick the ball back up and get back to work today!

⚽ KGFC 100 Touch Challenge ⚽

Can you set a challenge for yourself or help set one for your child this month?

I believe our KGFC players can show up, put in the work, and exceed expectations!

The Challenge: Complete 100 touches on the ball every day for 30 days.

Just a few minutes a day can make a huge difference. If you or your player commits to this challenge, the improvement in ball control, confidence, and comfort on the ball will be noticeable by the end of the month.

Some ways to get your 100 touches:
✅ Toe taps
✅ Foundations (side-to-side touches)
✅ Inside-inside touches
✅ Pull-pushes
✅ Sole rolls
✅ Juggling
✅ Dribbling around cones or household objects
✅ Ball mastery combinations

The goal isn't perfection—it's consistency. Build the habit, challenge yourself, and watch your skills grow.

👏 Thank you to everyone who attended our Fall 2026 Season Tryouts this week! We had a total of 95 players participate – that is a 50% increase over last summer – way to go, King George! ⚽️

It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout and so much enthusiasm from our players and families. We truly appreciate everyone who came out and supported the program.

The coaches will be working over the coming weeks to consolidate evaluations and finalize team rosters. Thank you for your patience during the selection process.

⚽️ Today is the second of two scheduled tryout sessions for the Fall 2026 Soccer Season.

If you missed Sunday's tryouts, then please attend today's. Even if you attended Sunday's, we strongly encourage players to attend both sessions so our coaches and evaluators can properly assess all players competing for roster spots on KGFC teams.

Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes early for check-in.
If you haven't pre-registered, we will have paper registration and medical release forms for you to fill out at tryouts.
