Today we’re proud to introduce our new logo — a symbol of hope, growth, and a bold, bright future ahead.

The open door within our logo represents both our mission and our heart: welcoming those in need with compassion, dignity, and support.

As OBX Room In The Inn continues to grow and evolve, we wanted a logo that reflects who we are today and the future we are building for our community — cleaner, stronger, and focused on where we’re going next.

While our look has changed, our mission remains the same: to provide food, clothing, and shelter to homeless adults across the Outer Banks during the winter months, and support services year-round.

This is more than a new logo. It marks the next chapter of our journey, and we’re excited to move forward together.

We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our community, partners, volunteers, donors, and churches across the Outer Banks who make our mission possible every day.

We’re incredibly excited for what’s ahead. Welcome to the next chapter of OBX Room In The Inn.

As we closed our doors for the shelter’s 17th season last week, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible volunteers from Nags Head Church. Their team generously gave their time and energy to help clean and prepare the shelter for closing.

Partnerships like this mean so much to us, and we truly appreciate the care and dedication they showed. Thank you all for your kindness and support!

We’re still riding the wave of gratitude from our Seaside Soirée Auction—what an incredible night made possible by an amazing community.

Today, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors: Jane Webster, Evans Family Fund, and Orca Wealth Management, LLC. Your support truly set the foundation for this event’s success.

We’re also so grateful to the Outer Banks Woman’s Club for their help with registration and checkout, the Kitty Hawk Rotary Club for keeping everything running smoothly with parking, and the Hilton Garden Inn for their continued support throughout the event.

A special thank you to Tiny Tasker for all of her hard work securing and picking up donations—it made such a difference behind the scenes. We’re also incredibly grateful for our dedicated team at Room In The Inn for bringing everything together so seamlessly.

A sweet thank you goes out to Big Buck’s Ice Cream, Crumbl, Proof Bakery, Red’s Breads, and Tullio’s Bakery for the delicious desserts that everyone enjoyed. Heavenly Honey brought the evening to life with stunning décor, Mixin Mike kept the energy high with great music, and our MC Greg Smrdel led an exciting and engaging live auction.

We also want to recognize George McCollough and Anna Savoia for creating our “Fund the Need” video and beautifully capturing the spirit of the evening.

Tomorrow is the day! So much heart and hard work has gone into this fundraiser, and it’s all for our neighbors in need. Our staff and board members have truly gone above and beyond to make this year’s event something special.
