Saturday, June 6th for Town & Country Days, we will be setting up a table in front of the The BreadHaus where you get to clean, grind and sift your own flour from locally sustainably grown wheat, generously donated by our friends, the Eckhart Farms family! You can do this while waiting for your delicious Waterloo Ranch burger from the “Locally Grown Grub” food truck which will be conveniently parked right in front of the BreadHaus!😊❤️

The lady Barbara who was intimated by the sourdough process, produced a lovely loaf and a healthy starter after our workshop yesterday. Her words: “Thank you, Sibyl, for the super fun day and for opening a whole new baking world to me!”
LOVE, LOVE it when people recognize the ease and benefits of making their own sourdough bread!😊💃

Waterloo Ranch “Locally Grown Grub” truck will be in the Bread Encounters parking lot on June 6th for Town and Country Days. Grab yourself one of their delicious burgers and stop by at the BreadHaus for a hands-on milling experience of locally grown grain while you wait. 😊

Locally Grown Grub is the food wagon owned and operated by Thomas & Jenn, the founders and operators of Waterloo Ranch in Rice, Washington. At Locally Grown Grub we specialize in scratch-made food featuring Waterloo Ranch lamb and beef and ingredients from other local producers. Waterloo Ranch retail lamb and beef cuts are also be available for purchase at the Locally Grown Grub food wagon. (To be certain we will have the cuts you’re looking for, reserve them in the online Ranch Shop, and we’ll make sure we have them ready for you!)

Our menu is always changing but if you see the Locally Grown Grub food wagon out in the wild, you can rest assured we have our renowned Waterloo Burger available. Our signature burger is made with Waterloo Ranch beef and served up on a Small Batch SOURdough roll with cheddar cheese and our secret Waterloo Sauce. Come see us and find out why so many say it’s the best burger they’ve ever eaten.

Be sure to follow our Newsletter and page so you don’t miss frequent updates to Locally Grown Grub menu offerings, and service times and locations. If you have questions about services, menu offerings, and/or catering, feel free to email us at [email protected].

We had such a great time during our „The Quest for Sourdough“ yesterday! I had felt quite overwhelmed after giving a presentation earlier in the week, my son leaving AND this workshop, but my students made this such an easy flowing class! It was a delight to teach and my students felt confident and empowered to provide nourishing sourdough bread to their families.😊❤️

Everyone was as hard at work today crafting their leather belt pouches at the BreadHaus. This was a parent/child class. Unfortunately, we ended up starting an hour later than scheduled and lost a couple of our participants. Those who stayed were rewarded with freshly baked ginger spice cookies and sourdough rollls. This, in addition to learning a valuable skill and enjoying time together😊
