Last night at Vision Recovery, we wrapped up Step 5: The Power of Confession with Testimony & Chip Night.

We celebrated recovery milestones and had the privilege of hearing Donna Plain Story share what God has done in her life.

One of the themes we've returned to throughout this month is that healing begins when we stop hiding. Confession isn't about condemnation, it's about bringing things into the light so God can do what only He can do.

If you missed Donna's testimony or would like to watch it again, you can find it here:

Motivation Monday

You don’t have to keep pretending you’re okay.

One of the hardest parts of confession is admitting we’ve been carrying something longer than we needed to. Not because we wanted to stay stuck, but because pretending feels safer than being vulnerable.

So we hold it in.
We keep functioning.
We keep smiling.
We keep telling people we’re fine.

Meanwhile, the weight never really leaves.

But God never asked you to pretend your way through healing. He invites you to bring those things to Him honestly instead of carrying them alone.

Step 5 is about bringing things into the light—not so you can feel exposed, but so you can finally start healing.

So as this week starts, stop putting pressure on yourself to look okay all the time. Bring what’s real to God and let Him meet you there.

Motivation Monday

Healing starts where hiding ends.

Step 5 is about confession, and confession is hard because it forces us to stop carrying things in secret. A lot of us can recognize what’s wrong internally, but still avoid bringing it into the light. We keep it contained, manage it privately, and convince ourselves we’re dealing with it because we’re aware of it.

But awareness isn’t the same as healing.

What stays hidden eventually starts showing up somewhere else—in our thoughts, our relationships, our reactions, and the weight we carry every day.

That’s why confession matters. Not to shame us, but to free us. God doesn’t reveal things so we can hide them better. He brings them into the light so they can heal.

So as this week starts, don’t go backwards into hiding. Stay honest about what God has been showing you and take the next step with it.

Healing starts there.

Tonight at Vision Recovery!

Process Night.

We’ve spent the last couple weeks talking about what stays hidden, what leaks out, and what happens when we keep carrying things alone.

Tonight isn’t about a perfect answer or polished response. It’s about slowing down, being honest, and walking through this step together.

If you’ve been needing a place to process, talk, listen, or just not feel alone in it all, come join us tonight at 7PM.

Last week we continued Step 5: The Power of Confession.

Not just talking about what’s hidden… but what happens when we keep carrying things alone.

This Friday is Process Night!

No pressure. No pretending. Just real conversations with people who are walking through recovery together.

If you’ve been carrying things privately, overwhelmed in your thoughts, or trying to manage everything internally, this night is for you.

Join us Friday at 7PM.

Motivation Monday

You don’t have to carry everything by yourself this week.

A lot of us have gotten used to holding things in. We stay busy, distract ourselves, and try to manage things internally because it feels easier than letting people into what’s really going on.

But isolation keeps people stuck.

God never intended for you to walk through healing alone. One of the biggest lies we believe is that asking for help makes us weak, when in reality, staying hidden is what keeps us weighed down.

So as this week starts, let yourself lean into the people God has placed around you. You don’t have to have all the answers, and you don’t have to carry it all on your own.

That’s why we need God.
And that’s why we need each other.
