KSC Upward Bound Programs The Keene State College Upward Bound Programs serve 12 high schools throughout NH & VT. KSC has been operating college prep programs since 1978.

Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, UB is free of charge to students who meet eligibility criteria.

Today we had an amazing Underclass Academy Celebration! Students shared projects from academic classes and residential groups & clubs, we watched a great slide show recapping the summer, and a few students even gave speeches!

Today was the second and final day of our Underclass Academy trip! Upward Bound Students from KSC & UNH joined together for an awesome college fair! Students were able to interact with over 40 colleges & universities from across the country - asking admissions representatives questions and collecting cool swag!

Today was Day 1 of our Underclass Academy overnight trip! Upward Bound students toured Nashua Community College - learning about their Early College Program, seeing the NCC Campus, and understanding what degrees they have to offer! Students had great questions and the NCC Admissions Counselors were fantastic! Thank you Nashua Community College

We then traveled to Portsmouth, NH. After dinner, students also got to explore downtown!

On Friday, we had an awesome Senior Bootcamp Celebration! Upward Bound rising seniors shared final projects from their academic classes and spoke about their work study experiences.

Seniors also got to share about their groups and clubs! In groups they had to create an escape room using communication and team work. In clubs, students got to explore new hobbies and make new friends!

This week, our Senior Bootcamp Students are doing work study! They are working at various places around campus, including: Student Academic Support Services, Grounds, Mason Library, Spaulding Rec Center, Zorn Dining Commons, and the Cheshire Historical Society!

Today was our Upward Bound Senior Trip! First, we stopped at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA)! Students toured campus, learned about various programs, and played college life bingo during lunch! Did you know that 40% of students at MCLA are first-gen? Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts

After lunch, students were able to explore MASS MoCA (Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art), the largest contemporary art museum in the U.S! We had a blast! Thank you all for a great week - see you on Sunday!
