In support of our extended 'ohana at Honomu Resilience Hub, a couple of our Haleki'i volunteers spent the day assisting keiki in the creation of their envisioned garden share boxes.

Mahalo nui loa to Hawaii Air Conditioning & La'i'ōpua 2020 for your donation of beautiful untreated pallets for this project, & Pono Pool & Spa Service for delivery and use of tools.

East & Westside artists unite to complete this Rainbow Wall prototype for display implementation. Each strip of fabric holding a beautiful story of Basque 'ohana adventures and the rich history of Kainaliu, Hawaii.

Mahalo Susan Champeny for sharing this wonderful project. This was an idea introduced by a military mom desiring to hold a sense of normalcy & comfort for her boys throughout their frequent moves. Their favorite Star Wars sheets were hung on their walls with liquid starch, easily removed w/water & reapplied at every new location.

Our rainbow wall will be on display at Wanna Bee Pono Honey Emporium within the week.

Hakeki’i Resilience Hub was the result of hundreds of volunteer hours, donations, collaborative partnerships, and pure ALOHA.

Special thanks to Vibrant Hawaii Island, Hawai’i Rise Foundation, and the County of Hawai’i CARES for bolstering our efforts and taking a chance on this proof of concept for our network of resilience hubs.
