Paetow High School Bands This is the official page of the Paetow High School Band Program. Est. 2017 History of Patricia E. Mrs.

The Paetow High School Bands will offer a comprehensive band program opening in the fall of 2017 opening with 9th and 10th grade students. The Panther Band will offer a marching ensemble and concert bands that will compete at UIL Contest. With expected interest from prospective students the program will plan to offer a jazz ensemble, competitive indoor percussion and winter guard program that will

compete in TCGC events. Paetow High School:

On April 25, 2016, The Board of Trustees voted to name High School No.8 in remembrance of Patricia E. Paetow, a lifelong educator who dedicated nearly 30 years to Katy ISD before losing her battle to cancer in July 2015. Paetow began her career in Katy ISD in 1987 as an educational diagnostician. She then spent the next three decades working in different capacities, including assistant principal, principal, and director of campus administration and support, before retiring as Katy ISD's assistant superintendent of administrative support. During her tenure, she led Wolfe Elementary to be recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education for the 1989-1990 school year, and opened Betty Sue Creech Elementary in 2000.

Community Help Needed!!

Our 99 Pledges Fundraiser which supports TWO SEPERATE BAND programs is still going strong, but we need YOUR HELP! At this time, we've not made it to the halfway mark of our goal and we only have eight days left to make sure our programs are set for success next year as this is their primary fundraiser!

Good Afternoon!

We still have open spots that need to be filled for our district required volunteer spots for Katy Marching Festival. This is a great opportunity to see and hear amazing bands and give back to the community! We have 11 shifts open for adults throughout the day still in roughly two hour intervals and 7 shifts open for students looking for volunteer hours!

We must have these spots filled in order to 1.) Make the Competition Run Smoothly, and 2.) Ensure that the Paetow Band & Guard is not left without the help it needs throughout the day!

Families, Friends, and Community!

Katy Marching Festival takes place on October 12th, and each KISD high school has volunteer requirements that must be filled in order for this competition to run smoothly!

We have volunteer positions for both Students & Adults from 10:00am to 10:30pm in roughly two hour shifts each!

This is a great event and you'll be able to hear and see some awesome performances from bands in and around our district!

Your gift of time ensures that we also have plenty of band parents to help the PHS band during the day of the competition as we will have to pull chaperones and volunteers if we cannot get these slots filled. If you have ANY questions about volunteering, please don't hesitate to reach out!
