Friends Of The Kankakee Public Library The Friends of the Kankakee Public Library supports and serves the Kankakee Public Library. Become a Friend of the Kankakee Public Library.

We exist to encourage use of the Library's resources, host events and programs, and seek gifts and bequests for the Library. Everybody needs a friend and that is why we're asking you to be ours! Benefits of membership include: an opportunity to serve our Library and City, meet people with similar interests and to attend special Friends programs and events. Also, you will be entitled to vote on Fri

ends issues. Help us expand opportunity in our community by helping the Library expand and enhance its programs. The purpose of the Friends of the Kankakee Public Library:

- Serve as hosts and hostesses for Library and Friends events
- Present programs related to individuals' hobbies and interests
- Encourage gifts, endowments, and bequests to the Library
- Seek financial support for the work of the Library
- Attend special Friends events
- Encourage use of the Library's resources
- Support Library legislation

Following yesterday's storm, the Emergency Response Fund of Kankakee & Iroquois Counties has been activated to support recovery efforts in our community.

Originally created in 2020 as a joint initiative of the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley and United Way, this fund is designed to provide rapid support to trusted organizations helping families recover and rebuild.

Donations to the Emergency Response Fund will support immediate needs and long-term recovery for those impacted by the storms and overseen by both of our organizations.
