Paniolo Preservation Society at Pukalani Stables

Paniolo Preservation Society at Pukalani Stables To preserve and promote the legacy of the Hawaiian cowboy (Paniolo) through the Paniolo Heritage Center at Pukalani Stables. We are closed on Sundays.

The Paniolo Preservation Society (PPS) works to increase public awareness of the historical, present-day and future significance of Hawaii’s ranching industry, with emphasis on the roles and traditions of the paniolo. We have established a Paniolo Heritage Center at Parker Ranch's historic Pukalani Stables that houses artifacts and natural history displays, as well as providing an archival center

for historical documents, maps, and photos. The Paniolo Heritage Center is open free to the public from Monday, Tuesdays, Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Wednesday’s and Saturdays from 8:00am to 2:00pm. The center includes the Oahu Cattlemen Association's "Paniolo Hall of Fame", a huge collection of bits and spurs and paniolo equipment, rawhide ropes, and historical artifacts. We have a new wing dedicated to the Hawaiian saddle with over 34 donated saddles on display along with master Hawaiian saddle, maker, Alvin Kawamoto's Hawaiian saddle tree exhibit illustrating how the paniolo turned trees into unique world-class saddles. http://www.paniolopreservation.org/heritage-center/

We also have our two farmers markets open on Wednesday from 9am to 2pm and on Saturday from 7:30 am to 1 pm. The Museum is open during market hours. If you're interested in becoming a vendor at our thriving community markets, email the following for information:

A Message to Our Community

We would like to take this time to address the recent change in management for our community’s beloved market. This was not an easy decision, but one made with the intention of focusing more deeply on community involvement, nurturing local connections, encouraging keiki (youth) entrepreneurship, and celebrating our paniolo (cowboy) culture.

The newly envisioned Pukalani Midweek Market will continue to be a gathering place for both familiar and new faces. You can expect fun and engaging keiki activities, artisan-led workshops, live local music, delicious cuisine from around the world, fresh produce, and unique creations from local artisans across many trades.

We also want to express our sincere appreciation to the Kamuela Farmers Market. They have been nothing short of an asset to our community. We are honored to have them continue to host their market at the Pukalani Stables. Their leadership, thoughtfulness, and aloha spirit have will leave a lasting impression on community they are truly something to be admired and modeled.

As we look ahead, the Pukalani Midweek Market will now be held every Wednesday starting June 4th from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM without any gaps and the previous market will continue to May 28th. We are excited to announce our Grand Opening on Wednesday, July 2nd, with games, giveaways, raffles, bounce houses, workshops, and more — all in the spirit of aloha and keeping our community at heart.

We warmly invite you and your ‘ohana to be part of this new chapter. Bring your keiki, support local, and celebrate the vibrant heart of our community together.

If you have any questions, are interested in becoming a vendor, or would like to introduce your keiki entrepreneur to the market, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to connecting with you!

With Aloha,
The Pukalani Midweek Market ‘Ohana
