Target gift cards are on sale today only at 10% off. The goal of Malama I Na Keiki Hanai is to provide 50 gift cards at $50 each to put in the Christmas stockings of the 36 babies that are in foster care! I purchased 5 this morning - does anyone want to match that?

There are 36 children under the age of 2 living with foster care parents in West Hawai'i! Malama I Na Keiki Hanai will be providing Christmas stockings for every one of them - and your support is needed!

$50 gift cards to either Walmart or Target would be greatly appreciated to add to each stocking, so that mom's can shop for the essentials like diapers, wipes, formula etc. The stockings are handmade by the customers at Discount Fabric Warehouse and will include a few small items for the baby.

My heart is overflowing with love for this generous community! Thanks to Discount Fabric Warehouse and their customers - we received 64 hand made Christmas stockings for our Foster Care keiki! And thank you also to Donna Peebles and her friends who sewed an additional 21 stockings for a total of 84!!! Each one is so beautiful and unique and will be certain to brighten up a child's Christmas. The photo doesn't show all the detail and creativity of each stocking, but each one is beautifully hand crafted and obviously sewn with love. Thank you so much!

All stockings made will be distributed to the 100 children over the age of 4 who are currently residing in foster care homes.

There are going to be some very happy teenage foster kids at Christmas this year! Thanks to our generous donors, each will receive a bag that has four or five gifts in it, all wrapped and topped with pretty ribbons. Thirty four youth, ages 12 - 18 will certainly be having a most memorable Christmas.

Just over 200 Foster Care Children are hoping that Santa will remember them this year. Let's all help Santa make sure that each and every one of them receive at least one gift this Christmas by donating to the TOY DRIVE at Papa Kona Restaurant. Any new unwrapped toy for any age from 0 - 18 can be dropped down the chimney located in at the check in at Papa Kona, or put in the giant stocking!
