Amputations, burnings, bombs, starvation, chemical weapons, executions, detentions, torture, r**e, freezing, drowning, concentration camps, beatings, evictions…..
the people of Palestine are still living this, and we are still paying for it.

THE CEASEFIRE IS A LIE.
More than 500 Palestinian people killed since “ceasefire phase I”, at least half children, not including deaths from previous injuries, untreated sicknesses, starvation, freezing.

And fast becoming the new I$RA€£.

We’ve spent the last few days reflecting on Sunday’s screening of From Ground Zero .ground.zero, and the power of that day is still with us.
The 22 short films from Gaza — created by filmmakers, artists, and everyday people — reminded us of the beauty, grief, resilience, and humanity that continues to shine through unimaginable circumstances.

Our talk stories afterward were just as meaningful. People shared what moved them, what was painful to witness, and what calls them to speak up or take action. Every person carried something different, and yet the room felt held together by concern and justified outrage.

Mahalo nui loa to everyone who came, brought incredible food, supported Palestinian artists, donated, and added their voice to the conversation. Together we raised almost $300 cash and more in donations towards supporting Palestinians in need. And we strengthened the connections between Hawaiʻi’s struggles for sovereignty and Palestine’s fight for liberation.

We’re grateful for this community — even five days later, we’re still feeling the impact. 🌺🇵🇸✊🏽
