Justice Water

Justice Water Justice Water: Inspiring Hope, Empowering Change The vision is simple: we envision a world where everyone has access to clean drinking water.

A world where no child has to die due to preventable diseases. A world where women and children don't have to spend valuable hours collecting water, but have opportunities to a quality life.

Thanks to our incredibly generous donors, and everyone that has tirelessly and faithfully lifted up our ministry in prayers, the village of Kamwendo now has a borehole that will supply their families with safe drinking water!

Picture yourself in this moment where they pump the water for the first time, as we official hand over the well, and celebrate with the whole village! God is so good!

This is the first of many times that people will gather to draw water from this well!

💧 A Simple Well. A Life-Changing Impact. 💧
In Kamwendo, over 1,500 people call this community home—but access to clean water is still a daily struggle.
Right now, hundreds of families rely on a single overcrowded well, a nearby river, or a shallow hand-dug pit just meters from the riverbank. This makeshift well isn’t just unreliable—it’s dangerous. A snake lives within it, turning every trip for water into a risk, especially for women and children.
For many women, the day begins at 3:00 a.m., standing in long lines just to collect water. Some don’t return home until 10:00 a.m. This daily burden affects everything—health, safety, family life, and even relationships.
But this can change.

✨ By drilling a new well, we can provide safe, clean, and reliable water to at least 600 people in the village.✨ We can reduce health risks and eliminate dangerous water sources.✨ We can give back hours each day—time for families, work, and children.

🤝 We’re inviting you to be part of this transformation. Whether through partnership, giving, or sharing this message—you can help bring lasting change to Kamwendo.
Together, we can turn a daily struggle into a story of restoration.

JUSTICE + Water : This week our JUSTICEWATER Malawi team surveyed Mgumwiche village for a new well—but the day led us somewhere unexpected.

A nearby community, Mtamba village, sought out our team, asking for help. When we visited, we learned that an individual installed a well for a while .. but later on had the pump removed. Since then, families have no choice but to return to the polluted river water.

It’s heartbreaking and deeply upsetting—but we don’t believe it’s a coincidence that God lead us there. We have the opportunity to demonstrate God’s justice and love to this community!

Now we’re on a mission to bring clean water not just to Mgumwiche, but to Mtamba too—restoring hope where it was taken away.

Get to know one of our next drilling locations:
Ngumwiche Village is home to more than 1,000 people, most of whom depend on small-scale farming—growing maize and sorghum—to survive.

Life here is simple but not easy. The village is connected by a dirt road, and most families rely on charcoal for energy, with only a few having access to small solar power systems. The community is predominantly Christian, holding firmly to faith even in the midst of daily struggles.
But behind this resilience lies a silent crisis.

Water in Ngumwiche is not safe.
The entire village depends on a single 6m hand-dug well fitted with a hand pump. Because it is shallow, the water is often muddy, contaminated, and unsafe to drink. Yet, this is the only source available. Families wake up each day knowing the water they collect could make them sick—but they have no other choice.

Children drink it. Mothers cook with it. The elderly depend on it.

Access to clean water here is not just a need—it is urgent. It is critical. It is a matter of health, dignity, and survival. Without it preventable diseases will continue to threaten lives, and the cycle of hardship will continue.
