This April, Aloha Pass It On supports the Hawaiʻi Island K9 Association 🐾

Behind every K9 team is a story of dedication, training, and an unbreakable partnership between handler and dog. These highly skilled teams serve communities across Hawaiʻi Island through search and rescue missions, public safety operations, and critical response situations.

From helping locate missing persons to assisting law enforcement, K9 units play a vital role in keeping our island safe. Through our Aloha Pass It On program, a portion of select menu items throughout April will help provide essential training, equipment, and resources that support these life-saving teams.

Since 2019, together we have contributed $393,415 to local nonprofits, thanks to the kindness and generosity of our guests.

Mahalo for helping us continue to support those who serve our island every day. 💛

🌺 This March, our Aloha Pass It On Charity of the Month is YWCA of Kauaʻi.

For more than 100 years, YWCA of Kauaʻi has supported families and individuals experiencing domestic and sexual violence through emergency housing, crisis services, and culturally responsive care.

Throughout the month, a portion of select menu items and beverages at Huggo's, On the Rocks, Kai Eats + Drinks, and Lava Lava Beach Club will be donated to support their work.

Aloha kākou 🌺 This December, our Aloha Pass It On partner is PETFIX, a local nonprofit bringing real change to our island community. By providing free spay and neuter services, PETFIX helps reduce pet overpopulation and keeps Hawaiʻi’s animals healthy, cared for, and loved.

Co-founded by sisters Beate and Bridget Neher, their team has already helped thousands of pets across the island, improving animal welfare and protecting our environment along the way. 🐾💙

Every selected entrée, pint, or Aloha Pass It On item you choose this month helps support their mission. A little kindness at the table becomes a big impact for our furry friends.

This October, we’re proud to support Surf for Special Needs as our Aloha Pass It On Charity of the Month! 🏄‍♂️✨

Surf for Special Needs brings healing, joy, and connection to keiki with special needs and their families through inclusive ocean events. Their mission? Celebrating ability, not disability, and building a community rooted in aloha (love) and ʻohana (family).

Since 2019, together with you, our guests, we’ve contributed $348,459 to local nonprofits across Hawaiʻi. 🌺 Mahalo for helping us spread kindness, one meal and one pint at a time.

Aloha, Friends!

It is no secret that our teachers have one of the hardest jobs in educating our keiki. It is with great excitement that we are able to "Pass on the Aloha" to our teachers . HTA received a total of $1,800 in funds that will go towards enhancing classrooms with needed supplies/tools.

The Huggo & Shirley von Platen Luder Scholarship was able to award a total of 10 schools for the '24-25 academic year. Stay tuned to find out next week's winners!

Aloha, Friends!

Through the Huggo & Shirley von Platen Luder Scholarship program, We were able to sponsor 35 classroom projects in the '24-25 school year. We will be announcing the winners each week. Congratulations to as they received $2,700 in funds.

Funds will be used to enhance the classroom experience with the needed tools/supplies to support our beloved educators.

Support our community while you dine!

The Friends of Higashihara Park, a dedicated volunteer group under the Kona Lions Community Foundation, has been improving the park for four years—recently restoring the Sugar Train, Voyaging Canoe and whale, plus donating new benches.

Luana Hospitality Group is proud to give back!
For the month of February, every selected entrée sold per meal period at all our locations, we’ll donate $1. Plus, for every selected retail item sold, we’ll donate $2.
