If you saw the video, I shared this morning from Tebow Down Guatemala, then you know exactly where we spent the first part of our day.
There’s always so much Joy with these children. We did start off with Zumba, and then we did a very quick tour of the facility and the classrooms and then we provided a fair type activity for the kids. With temporary, tattoos, nail, polish, face, painting, Balloon, animals, and pages.
God always knows what we need. Yesterday was very emotional and at some points difficult. And today was full of happiness and it helped fill up our hearts.
This afternoon César and Carlos came and shared about their ministry Tiempo de Rescate. It’s always so good for high school students to be able to interact with him with such different perspectives. Community and fellowship is very important for all of us.

Today we went on an adventure to Santa Faz!!! There is nothing like a 45 minute ride in the van with a group of high school students with a ton of energy. They keep every moment full of joy and fun.
We were able to walk in the community, separated into two groups with grocery bags to do home visits. The majority of the visits were to homes with new moms that their children have been involved in the foundation for just the last few months. How incredibly eye opening it is to hear that they waited three or five years on a waiting list to get their children in the program and how excited and blessed they truly are. During those visits there are also things that can break our hearts. But God can turn anything bad into good and we must rely on his goodness.
In the afternoon, we did a staff encouragement which included a fun icebreaker game, a cooking class on how to make homemade cream of tomato soup, and grilled cheese sandwiches. The team shared encouraging words on what impact a good teacher can have on a young persons life, especially when God is in it.

But the day wasn’t over, we were then off on our way to help Serve at the Peregrino Services, where three of our students were able to wash the hands of the homeless, we shared in worship, and then a message and a feeding for each of them. God loves all of us, so very much.

The joy of children is something that is hard to explain. But today we were blessed to be able to go to Limonada, and share time with the children in one of the Academies in their community.
The team prepared a lesson about Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego, and about how God is always with us, and we can trust him in all circumstances, because sometimes we cannot trust people. Not only the lesson but just some fun games and crafts and just time letting kids be kids, but also learning about Jesus.
This evening, Shorty joined us to share about his ministry in planting churches, but also a very special message about God using each one of us in our lives for his glory. Nothing like having a little church after dinner!

We were able to spend half a day with Dr. Layla in her clinic serving the community. As always, there were people waiting in every part of the lobby area when we arrived and we had a couple of team members, take care of vitals, and then people in pharmacy and prayer . That’s a normal scenario, but every medical clinic is so very different because of the people. Not only their health concerns, but their spiritual concerns. What a blessing the clinic is to be able to serve the people and take such good care of them.

After a fantastic lunch cooked by Elma and her crew, we were able to do six home visits in the landfill community. Allowing for us to be able to share in each home concerns in their life, blessings in their life and making sure we share the gospel of Jesus is love. We also thrilled to be able to bless them with bags of groceries. All of our hearts are full and blessed.

We started our day off by going to Iglesia Bautista, Pastor Saul’s church, and it is always a great way to start any trip when you can start off by feeding children before Sunday school.
A van goes back-and-forth from the landfill to the church to be able to give the kids the opportunity to come to have breakfast, but also to have Sunday School.
The team presented a lesson on Samson along with a craft and then of course, playing games.
The sermon reminded us of the importance of children, and how much Jesus loves children, and that we all should have the heart of a child to be able to love Jesus.
This afternoon we took a little quick visit to the artisan market and then back to be a part of a very special sponsor party with sponsor kids. It’s a great opportunity for kids to be able to spend with their sponsors, enjoy some pizza, play some games, play, soccer, and get some gifts. The impact of child sponsorship on a child’s life is hard to explain, but they positive influence it is is such a blessing.

Today the team travelled outside of the city and visited San Pedro Ayampuc with Pastor Guillermo. This is one of the church plants of Pastor Saul.
The people of the community were very grateful to be treated by the doctors and to receive spiritual medicine; many opened their hearts with 161 patients being seen.

Today the team visited Tebow Down! They did the tour, received lots of hugs and love, they danced during Zumba and had a delicious lunch, of course. And what a great way to end their time with a special visit at Happy Coffee. What an incredible experience to see these beautiful students as they work and serve others in such a beautiful setting!!
Also, this afternoon we had a wonderful visit with Cesar Garcia.
