Today we celebrated three more men graduating from Phase 1 of the program.

These three came into Elisha House before we made the shift toward a longer-term discipleship model, but each of them has made the decision to stay and continue the journey for the full year.

That says a lot. It speaks to a hunger for more than just sobriety. It speaks to a desire to be rooted, transformed, and established in Christ.

Recovery is important, but our heart has always been discipleship. We are not just trying to help men get clean. We want to see them become the men God created them to be, grounded in His Word, filled with His Spirit, and equipped to walk in their calling.

I’m thankful for what God has done in their lives so far, but I believe the greatest testimonies are still ahead. Please continue to pray for these men as they press deeper into all that God has for them.

Jesus is still changing lives.

Elisha House is shifting.

When we started this mission, our original desire was to help men transition into the next phase of life. It seems God had other plans. What we ended up getting were the broken, the rejects, the people who didn't make it anywhere else. But God saw them and said, I'm not done with you. We have seen success in individuals who struggled everywhere else.

This is not me speaking about us as a ministry.

This is about the importance of never giving up on anyone.

Now I'm not saying you keep giving chances to someone who isn't thriving and won't follow rules and regulations. That's not what I'm saying. Program rules are there for a reason. If you can't follow the rules, you don't need to be in the program. But as a program, and as a leader, we cannot write off people who don't make it with us. We find them another program that fits their needs, and most importantly, we lift that person up in prayer before the Lord.

Elisha House is now long term faith based treatment. We prefer the label discipleship home. I believe this is and always has been God's blueprint for discipleship in the Church. Homes of discipleship.

God is breathing on Elisha House. The men are preaching, praying and prophesying. God is here.

If you're looking for a chance. If you're tired and broken. You want God.

Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30:

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
