Our America 250 celebration was such a great success.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, performed, sponsored, donated, and worked behind the scenes. It truly took the efforts of countless organizations, businesses, community groups, and individuals to make this celebration possible.

A very special thank you to **Dave Gasker** for pulling it all together, the JT SQC Committee, and everyone at the **Mauch Chunk Rod & Gun Club** for partnering with us and helping make Saturday's event such a tremendous success. We truly appreciate your hospitality, hard work, and support.

Congratulations to all the contest and raffle winners. Kim Worley from Lehighton won our Pit Boss Pro 1600 Pellet Smoker raffle.

Seeing our community come together to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation's founding was something special. The pride, patriotism, and sense of community on display throughout the celebration reminded us what makes Jim Thorpe such a wonderful place to call home.

We also remember those who are no longer with us—the family members, friends, veterans, and patriots who helped build this community and this nation. We know many of them would have been proud to see everyone gathered together in celebration.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making America 250 a memorable event. We hope the memories made this week will stay with you for years to come.

The 250th Celebration continues today with a combined celebration hosted by Sam Miller Field and the Dilley’s Hose Company

Punt, pass, and kick still on today at Sam Miller Field at 2pm. Registration around 1:30pm. Sponsored by Bear Mountain Real Estate. Sweet and Savory will be there and at Memorial Hall later. Petting zoo 1:30 to 3:30. No pony rides due to weather conditions.
Music by Cross Tie Walker 1-4pm.

*** NOTE Hunkajunk 5-8pm inside at Memorial Hall. Random Winners of check-in contests, scavenger hunt, essay, door prizes. Lots of gift cards !!! Closing up shop so get your discounted garb, koozies, bells, foam lights, etc.
Don’t forget: 6pm deadline for all submissions for drawings.

Shuttle van (it’s free) starts at noon and loops every hour; or park in lower lot at field.

All gave some. Some gave all. Today, we remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Memorial Day is not about barbecues or a long weekend — it is about sacrifice, honor, and freedom paid for by those who never came home.
May we never forget them, and may we strive to live lives worthy of their sacrifice. 🇺🇸
