Metro Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3). EIN Assigned: 82-0701118

Receiving no grants or taxpayer dollars, Metro Cat Rescue relies on community support. Vet care is very expensive. Keeping cats happy and healthy

can mean huge bills. All too often, we need to use our own grocery money to buy cat food. Metro Cat Rescue is very low on food and flea medicines! We need your help NOW so MANY community cats and rescues won't be hungry. Here's the Link to the Metro Cat Rescue Chewy Wish List:

Metro Cat Rescue needs your help so that we can continue to help abandoned cats. We are DROWNING in bills for food, medical costs and supplies. Please DO donate so that Metro Cat Rescue has the resources to be there for kittens and cats. If Metro Cat Rescue had the resources to acquire cages, basic equipment and a used SUV or van for transportation, there's so much more that we could do. Metro Cat Rescue needs a bigger and better space. We also need the funds to hire someone -- at least -- part time to help with the chores.

Tiptop was a homeless young neighborhood cat. He and his siblings were abandoned when about 8 weeks old by people moving out of an apartment. A Metro Cat Rescue volunteer brought them breakfast every morning, but they still were subject to all the typical dangers of cats outdoors. Plus, the neighbors expressed hostility against the poor. The others kittens were shy, but Tiptop would run with tail held high to greet people he knows. He loved being petted. Tiptop was brought inside.

Please donate so kittens and cats can get medical care! ANY amount that you give can be the difference between life and death for little gals and guys who have already been through so much. Here's the Link to the Metro Cat Rescue GoFundMe Page:

There are MANY more cats needing medical attention and care. The sad fact is with money so low that I'm worried about groceries for myself, there's none for more vet visits.

Giving any amount will be a huge help. Unfortunately, right now we have no idea what our funding will be next month — or even next week. Helping to make it possible for Metro Cat Rescue to plan for the future will mean so many more kittens and cats will be saved. Please donate. Here's the Link to the Metro Cat Rescue GoFundMe Page:

Metro Cat Rescue has no cushion of dedicated funds for medical care. As it stands now, for each and every vet visit -- standard checkups and neutering, too, not just emergencies -- has to be paid for by pleading for help on Facebook. This sometimes means that a sick cat suffers for days waiting for medical attention.

Metro Cat Rescue receives no grants or taxpayer dollars. To help kittens and cats in need, we rely on community support. So that Metro Cat Rescue can continue this mission and do more, we need your help. It's quick and convenient and safe to use this Link to the Metro Cat Rescue GoFundMe Page:

Many hours are spent each day feeding, washing bowls, providing worm medicine and laundering the cats' beds. So that Metro Cat Rescue can do more, we need your help! We've run out of space to take in any additional cats. And there's the time -- with the kittens and moms that we have here now, the day starts at 9 in the morning and ends at 2, 3 or even 4AM.

Metro Cat Rescue needs a bigger and better space. We also need the funds to hire someone -- at least -- part time to help with the chores.

Metro Cat Rescue is in DIRE need of support! EVERY day we get requests that we don't have the resources to assist with. This means that kittens are born in the street because no one helps us to help them. PLEASE DONATE!

The dream of Metro Cat Rescue is to establish a facility to provide care for homeless kittens and cats with easily treated but contagious conditions -- those innocents that now elsewhere regularly are made to die. Sadly, a lack of funds has kept Metro Cat Rescue's goal a distant horizon.

Without the necessary resources, each day there are poor moms and babies that we can't help. So that the cats don't go hungry, I scrape by, eating little more than bread, rice and beans myself.

Metro Cat Rescue needs your help! We are DROWNING in bills for food, medical costs and supplies. Click on the Link to DONATE. If everyone reading this gave SOMETHING, we’d be well on the way to providing for homeless cats that now need to fend for themselves. THANK YOU!

I was on the road in the storm picking up Griselda from her emergency surgery. Very scary flooding and poor visibility. Griselda seems to feel much better already.

Griselda seems to be a grump, but actually she's usually happy. A homeless mom, Griselda was brought in during December a few years ago so that her babies could be born in a warm and safe place.

After Griselda's kittens were on their own, she was moved in with a group of rescues. Griselda was happy to be inside and not having to worry about getting enough to eat. She became great friends with one cat in particular, Murph. Griselda spent the day napping and cuddling with Murph.

Sunday all appeared well with Griselda. Monday morning, I could sense that something was bothering her. Indeed, a little later, Griselda self isolated in a cat playpen. Her condition apparently deteriorated, so much so that by 9pm I was wondering if she'd survive the night. Checking on Griselda an hour later, I was happily surprised that she gave the impression of being remarkably better.

This morning, Griselda shows no sign of ever being unwell. A previous appointment for another cat was swapped out and Griselda is to go to the vet tomorrow. With a non socialized cat, a trip to vet will be stressful for both of us.

The Metro Cat Rescue volunteer had to stop feeding at this location. A hysterical individual confronted me yelling that the surveillance camera showed many cats. People worried about cats transmitting disease should seek immediate medical attention -- from a psychiatrist.
