Riverview Neighborhood Association (RNA) Creating community and building a better quality of life for the Jersey City Heights

RNA’s role is to build community awareness by welcoming all members of the community to participate and get to know each other, being a conduit for information, advocating on behalf of its members for services and other needs, holding events that build community pride and participation, cherishing and protecting our local parks, promoting responsible development, advancing educational opportunities and sustainability, helping those less fortunate, and improving all facets of the quality of life in our neighborhood.

New little library coming soon 🥳📚

We’ve all walked by the crumbling little library, that stands at the corner of the playground in Riverview Park. It’s hard to reach for kids and the door almost falls off every time you use it.

But no more!

The Riverview Neighborhood Association (RNA) and Friends of Riverview Park teamed up to bring you a new little library with two sections and a fresh coat of paint. Bring a book to fill the library and tell a friend to join us for the “grand opening”.

Date: Saturday, October 17th
Time: 1PM
Location: Bowers St & Ogden Ave corner outside the playground

After the grand opening, please join us for a walk down Ogden Ave to the Ogden’s End community garden for Ogden’s End Pepperpalooza annual fundraiser 🌶️🧑‍🌾

The Jersey City Council will honor RNA’s over 40 years of service in today’s meeting 📣

Location: City Hall Council Chambers, 280 Grove Street, Jersey City, NJ.

5:15 PM – 5:30 PM: Recommended arrival time for RNA members.

6:00 PM: City Council meeting starts. The resolution honoring RNA will be moved to the top of the agenda. A commemorative certificate/resolution will be presented.

No advance registration is required to attend or join us at the podium. We encourage all current and former board members, officers, and community members to join us in celebrating over 40 years of service to the Heights!

You’re invited 🥳

The Riverview Neighborhood Association is one of the longest standing organizations in the area with the goal of creating “a better life in the Heights”. The Jersey City council will honor our 40+ year history during their October meeting and we’d love to celebrate this milestone with our neighbors!

Our good friends Lo-Fi will have the patio open for the party - RNA memories will be on display, we’ll have food & drinks and good vibes. If you’re new to the area, come meet some awesome people who make the neighborhood a better place 🤝

It was an epic, high-energy, & glo-stick filled night in the park. Thanks to the volunteers who made saturday night happen, lets keep this energy up next year 🤝

10/7 - the JC Council will honor RNA’s 40+ year history in the Heights with an ordinance presentation during their meeting, which starts at 6pm

10/8 - Celebrate 40+ years of RNA and “a better life in the heights” with us at Lo-Fi from 6-9pm. More details to come soon!

10/17 - support Ogden’s End during their annual PepperPalooza fundraiser event! No RSVP needed, details to come soon
