🐝 We get asked this all the time…
“If Up With Bees is all about native plants and restoring habitat… why do you celebrate honey bees?”
Great question!
The answer is simple: we’re pro-pollinator. 💛
While honey bees aren’t native to North America, the native habitats we create support all kinds of pollinators… native bees, butterflies, moths, beetles, hummingbirds, bats, and so much more.
The honey? 🍯 That’s just the sweet bonus.
It’s a tangible reminder of what healthy habitat can produce when we invest in nature.
One of our favorite parts is that we supply a bulk of our honey to fellow local nonprofits, giving them another way to fundraise for their mission while helping us continue ours.
That’s the kind of community we want to build. One where nonprofits help nonprofits, and where conservation and community grow together.
