Garry Childs of Pelham, Georgia, is a highly respected swine industry leader, livestock evaluator, and show judge with more than four decades of experience in the purebred and commercial swine industries.
Raised on his family's Yorkshire hog farm in southwest Georgia, Garry developed a passion for livestock at an early age and built a career dedicated to advancing the swine industry. In 1985, Garry began his professional career as a field representative serving the Yorkshire, Hampshire, and Chester White breeds throughout the Southeast. He later became an exclusive Yorkshire fieldman, working with breeders and exhibitors across the United States and helping promote genetic improvement and youth livestock programs. Throughout his career, he has evaluated livestock shows at the local, state, regional, and national levels and is widely recognized for his knowledge of swine structure, performance, and production. His lifelong dedication to the swine industry and youth livestock programs has made him one of the most respected and sought-after swine judges in the region.
