Warrior Outdoors Warrior Outdoors’ mission is to honor our country’s service men and women while utilizing the outdoors as a means to heal.

Warrior Outdoors utilizes various outdoor activities to assist Veterans, First Responders, Police, Fire Fighters, & EMT to heal, and have a better quality of life. Warrior Outdoors’ focus is on PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic brain injury). The goal of our various outdoor activities is to reduce the emotional and physical symptoms, to improve daily functioning, and to hel

p the person better cope with the event that triggered the disorder. Warrior Outdoors is developing a television show around these activities. Each episode promises to be humorous, touching, yet entertaining as we embark on various adventures that will lead you on an emotional roller coaster. The goal of the Television show is to bring awareness to the general public. While those who suffer from the disorders may appear okay on the outside, there is a battle that is taking place on the inside. Sometimes, that battle is a life and death choice. Please help us to help those who have proudly served.

It is with heavy heart that we say "until we meet again". Matthew Hingston was a former state director for our Michigan chapter of Warrior Outdoors. He was a Marine veteran and worked for the post office. He died unexpectedly in an apartment fire. He has an 11 year old daughter that absolutely adores him. Matt's heart was incredibly huge. He understood and utilized the healing power of the Outdoors to help himself and others. He was also one of the key reasons why I helped to start Warrior Outdoors. He was my cousin and my friend. He will be forever missed.

Another successful outdoor adventure. Two days of trout fishing in North Georgia. Much thanks to Dragonfly Fly Fishing for taking us out and showing these vets a good time on Soque River. And another shoutout to Bass Pro Shops in Duluth for helping outfit this trip!
