Andando Strengthening communities in rural Senegal. Our name comes from a Wolof word meaning “walking together”. Wolof is the main language of Senegal, West Africa.

The Andando Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) public foundation that was formed in 2007 out of a desire to “walk together” with some of the less fortunate citizens of our world. Senegal is the the principal country in which Andando operates, but we also have projects in Swaziland, Panama and Paraguay. Our goal is to alleviate poverty through micro development. This can happen in a variety of ways, and at Andando we are learning new ways every day as we walk together with friends around the world. Come join us!

Trees play a vital role in restoring degraded land, and we are thrilled to support our partner communities in their efforts to replant native trees. Meet Aïda: Our amazing team in Senegal 🇸🇳 works with determination and passion to put your generosity to work building thriving, resilient communities. We are thrilled to introduce you to Aïda Badji, our Administrative Coordinator.

Aïda joined our team in 2019 and does an amazing job managing all the details that allow our field staff to deliver quality programs to partner communities.

At a young age, Aïda discovered a passion for community health and started volunteering as a Peer Outreach Worker, and to this day she still volunteers her time to raise health awareness through talks, home visits, and social mobilization.
