This evening the Troop 402 scouts worked on their boats for the Raingutter Regatta.

This would normally be done at the Cub Scout level, but we have so many brand new scouts that we wanted to give them the experience.

JANESVILLE --- Since 1929, Janesville Boy Scout Troop 402 has produced 107 Eagle Scouts.

Today is delivery day for Evan’s Eagle project. He delivered 100 first aid kits to HealthNet of Rock County. Each kit contained general first aid supplies and two doses of Narcan. In addition $431 in extra funding was donated. Way to go Evan! Troop 402 is very proud of your accomplishments!

🏕️ Calling Scout Alumni – We’re Exploring Something New 🏕️

We’re starting early conversations about a potential Scout Alumni event later this year — and when we say alumni, we mean anyone who was part of Scouting, not just Eagle Scouts.

The idea we’re workshopping connects Scouting’s history, service, and leadership to the present day — possibly tied into one of the newer merit badges that focuses on history, citizenship, or the broader Scouting experience.

Right now, this is just exploration. We’re curious:
• Would you be interested?
• What would make it meaningful to you?
• Would you want to attend, help, or just share ideas?

We’re tagging a few folks to help get the conversation started, but we’d love input from anyone who wore the uniform at any point along the way.

More to come — this is the fun part where ideas take shape.

Troop 402 just welcomed our newest scout to the rank of Eagle. Congratulations Zach Ronek on your amazing accomplishment. This tremendous achievement reflects your dedication and commitment to serve others in your community! Also congratulations to our newest Star scout, Charlie Moore. Since 1929, 107 scouts with Troop 402 have earned the rank of Eagle Scout. This is the highest rank any scout can earn. Current Life Scout, Evan Zastrow is working on his Eagle project. He is partnering with HealthNet of Rock County to raise funds and create at least 100 first aid kits for families in Rock County. Each kit will contain necessary items, including digital thermometers, over-the-counter medications, general first aid supplies and Narcan. Another year of Camp Phillips is in the books! So many rank advancements, merit badges, and ultimately fun was had. A special thank you to our leaders this week for making it all happen: Mr. Moore, Mr. Gordon, and Mr. Zastrow!
