๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿพ ITโ€™S $5 FRIDAYโ€” FOUR DAYS, ONE TINY KITTEN & A VERY HAPPY ENDING! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿšจ

Earlier this week, we were told about a tiny kitten spotted hiding in a storm drain downtown. ๐Ÿ˜ข

A couple of our volunteers headed out and spent the next several days trying to coax him far enough out to safely net or trap him. But this little guy was scared and smartโ€”he would stay just far enough back that no one could reach him.

Making things even harder, this was a high-traffic area and the grate covering the drain was incredibly heavy. The fire department even came out a couple of times to help move it, and on other attempts it took several people just to lift it!

Then came Day #4. ๐Ÿ’™

One of our fosters headed downtown at 4:30 AM, hoping the quieter streets might finally give us a chance.

Apparently, 4:30 AM was the magic hour!

The kitten finally came into view far enough for our foster to safely net him and get him OUT OF THAT DRAIN! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿฑ

After four days of trying, this little guy is officially SAFE and in foster care!

Heโ€™ll stay with us while he grows, gets all of his vetting completed, and eventually heโ€™ll be ready to find his forever family. โค๏ธ

Nellie is an independent adult girl with plenty of personalityโ€”and that adorable little black dot on her nose! ๐Ÿ–ค

She loves pets, head scratches, feather wand games, and climbing to the top of her cat tower. When you're relaxing on the couch, don't be surprised if Nellie sneaks up behind you and nudges her head against yours for some affection. ๐Ÿ’•

This big, squishy boy is incredibly sweet, mild-mannered, and relaxed. Heโ€™s highly food motivated, loves his daily Churu, enjoys wet food and his water fountain, and takes his daily Prozac like a champ. ๐Ÿ’š

Froggy had a urinary blockage in July 2025, but he has healed beautifully and received a clean bill of health as of July 2026. He does need to remain on his prescription urinary diet and would do best with people committed to keeping him healthy and happy.

He gets along well with nice kitties and loves attention. All Froggy needs now is a quiet home where someone will see just how wonderful he truly is.

๐Ÿพ Unexpected Vet Bills Never Stop in Rescue! ๐Ÿพ

Poor Mr. Sir, one of our adorable adoptable kittens, wasnโ€™t feeling like himself and had started limping. We knew something wasnโ€™t right, so off to the vet he went. ๐Ÿ’™

Turns out, Mr. Sir had developed an abscess tucked underneath his armโ€”an area that was extremely hard to see, especially on a little black kitten!

Like most kittens, Mr. Sir plays HARD. ๐Ÿ˜น Somewhere along the way, he likely got a tiny scratch or bite that we couldnโ€™t see, and unfortunately, it turned into a painful abscess.

Thankfully, the vet was able to drain and clean it out, relieving all that pressure. Heโ€™s now on medication and already feeling so much better! โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

This is a perfect example of why rescue vetting goes far beyond just spay and neuter. We already spend thousands every month getting cats and kittens fixed, but unexpected illnesses, injuries, surgeries and medications come up ALL the timeโ€”and those extra bills add up quickly.

๐Ÿ’• If you can donate toward Mr. Sirโ€™s vet visit and the many other kitties in our care, every dollar truly helps us keep saying YES when they need us.

Mr. Sir will be back up for adoption as soon as everything is healed and our vet gives him the all-clear! ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›๐Ÿ’™

Cole does best with other friendly kitties, calm dogs, and older children. A gentle home is perfect for this sweet, easygoing boy.
