Congratulations to each of these men! 🎉

They all came to Trinity Rescue Mission with a different story, and they have all put in the hard work to get where they are today. All four completed the recovery program in St. Johns County and found stable employment – taking the next big step toward independence.
This week, they've transitioned to the next phase of our program where they’ll have close support to keep saving money, building healthy habits, and working toward their long-term goals.

Guys, we’re so proud of your progress, determination, and the commitment you’ve shown to rebuilding your lives. Congratulations on this milestone. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead for each of you!

At TRM, every milestone matters — and we make sure our guests know just how much. Recently, 38 people in our programs obtained IDs. Here's why that's worth celebrating, for them and for us:

Without identification, it's nearly impossible to apply for a job, sign a lease, open a bank account, see a doctor, or pick up a prescription. For many of our guests, homelessness hasn't meant one place. It's meant a series of temporary ones: a family member's couch, a motel room, a shelter bed. With each move, things like a birth certificate, Social Security card, or ID can get lost or thrown away. And getting the documents replaced means navigating fees, paperwork, and offices that require ID in order to get an ID.

So, when one of our guests holds a new ID for the first time in years, we celebrate what that means. It's access and freedom to move forward, to say "this is who I am" and be recognized. Every one of these 38 IDs opened doors that had been shut for a long time.

Across Jacksonville, more than 1,000 people go without a home. In one night, 147 people slept safe and warm at Trinity Rescue Mission. Thirty-nine of them were children.

Behind our number are guests we know by name: hardworking veterans, mothers fighting for their families, and kids who get to experience stability with their family.

Every one of them is loved. Every one of them matters. And every one of them has hope because of you. Thank you for everything you give that lets TRM offer helping hands to our neighbors.

Team seats are open for the 15th Annual Out-Shoot Hunger Sporting Clay Shoot on November 20. Fifteen years of shooting to support our homeless neighbors in Jacksonville — this year we'd love to see you at the line.
