Northeastern Early Steps serves families living in Duval, Clay, St. Johns, Nassau, Baker and Bradford Counties. Through coordination of support services, Early Steps empowers parents and caregivers with the tools and knowledge they need to enhance their children's development. Family members and other caregivers are shown how to build children’s skills and abilities using the routines and activiti

es already going on in everyday life. We would be happy to help answer questions you may have on the Early Steps program. Feel free to contact us to either send us your question or to schedule a screening at our office in Jacksonville.

Parent Training Series - Elopement and Home Safety (Online Training)

This training provides parents with a comprehensive understanding of home safety practices and effective strategies to reduce the risk of elopement. Participants will learn about common factors that contribute to elopement, how to identify potential safety vulnerabilities within the home, and evidence based approaches to creating a secure environment. The session will also cover practical tools for monitoring, prevention, and individualized planning to support children across a variety of needs. Parents will leave equipped with actionable steps and resources to enhance safety, promote independence appropriately, and ensure consistent supervision and protection.
