Hope International Providing Shower Facilities in Jackson for Residents Affected by Gas Service Disruption

Jackson, MO — Community members in Jackson and the surrounding areas who have been impacted by the ongoing gas service disruption will soon have access to temporary shower facilities through the assistance of Hope International.

Hope International plans to have their mobile shower units set up and operational by approximately 1:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at the former Jackson Fire Administration Building located at 503 S. Hope Street in Jackson. These facilities will be available to individuals in the community who are currently without gas service.

Local officials would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Hope International and their volunteers for providing this critical support to the community during this time.

Additional thanks are extended to the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Cape Girardeau County Emergency Management, City of Jackson, and Liberty Utilities for their collaboration and efforts in making this resource available to residents.

Hours of operation for the shower facilities will be announced once the units are fully set up and operational.

Further updates will be shared with the community as they become available.

Jackson Elks Hoop Shoot is a FREE event for the youth of the community , it’s a free throw contest!! It is tomorrow at 10:00 AM at the Jackson High School gym basketball court ! Hope to see ya there !
