*ATTENTION*
Due to unforeseen & uncontrollable circumstances there will be no June WHW meeting.
Please join us Thursday July 2, 2026, 11:00-1:00 at First General Baptist Church, 1812 Cape LaCroix Rd, Cape Girardeau. If you did not sign up at the May luncheon, you may do so here. If you have questions, please message us.
Also, we invite you to bring your favorite or most beloved or unusual apron to the luncheon. It’s gonna be fun! 🤩

Widows Helping Widows held their first ever tea party yesterday at Cape Lacroix Church. The table decorations beautiful and so much thought and planning went into each one. The ladies brought out their fine china and silver pieces. The fresh flowers were abundant and beautiful. The ladies voted on their favorite tables and first prize went to Jeanine Bomar , second place was Ann Bodenstein and third place was Eleanor Chandonait. There were 80 ladies in attendance and 13 tables were decorated. Our program was presented by Carla Jordan, Director and Alice Ireland, Historian/Librarian from the Cape Girardeau County Historical Society. Their presentation was very interesting and informative. I think we even “passed” their history quiz! We had great music presented by three gentlemen who play at historical society events. We enjoyed their music. The food was plentiful and yummy as always. Thank you to all the ladies who decorated tables, overall it was a wonderful day.

Thank you Cape County Cowboy Church, Denah and all you ladies who are so special and choose to serve WIDOWS HELPING WIDOWS.
Eighty-one ladies enjoyed a delicious lunch; chicken salad on croissant, chips and salad & carrot cake cupcakes. Denah taught us about being brave, keeping on, and to not fear during the storms of life. The donation today went to Sleep in Heavenly Sleep, an organization that makes & provides beds for children who do not have them. 💕

Widows Helping Widows enjoyed their monthly meeting at Discover Life church Thursday. There were 93 ladies in attendance with 9 being first time attendees. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, a devotional and an interesting speaker. We played a fun game that had us all laughing. I believe each one left with a smile on their face. Thank you Discover Life church for hosting our group.
