Celebrating all of our cubbies and their amazing accomplishments with our annual advancement ceremony held on June 10th.

One of the things I love about Cub Scouts is carrying on old traditions and starting new ones.
Last night we held our first Cub Scout Lock-in at the Church and had our first Turtle race. We had pizza and chicken nuggets, along with a popcorn and candy bar for a late night movie. I'm sure these events will become annual events. I would like to thank the families that were able to come and donate supplies to make last night a success.
I special thank you to Boy Scout Troop 284 of Irwin who hands down has the best Den Chief Anthony J. and to Mr. Dzaack who always answers the call when I have some crazy idea I want to try.

What a great day, when Cubs from 4 different packs all come together in the Spirit of Scouting. 22 cars were designed, cut, sanded and had weights added to their awesome pinewood derby cars. All the Cubs learned something new and had a great time. Even though we will all be racing in different pack races, hopefully we will see some of our new friends at The district Pinewood Derby. Thank you to Hainley Packaging for the use of your shop, Mr. Dzaack, Mr. Corlazzoli, Mr. Poorman and Boy Scout Troop 284 of Irwin .

Or you could stop by Boy Scout Troop 284 of Irwin Christmas tree sale on November 29th and 30th December 1st 6th 7th and 8th and purchase your kit there and take it home with you.
