Thank You for Making Our Scholarship Luncheon a Success
Dear Friends and Supporters,
With a grateful heart, I want to thank everyone who helped make the 17th Annual David’s Shoes Foundation Scholarship Luncheon a success.
Our theme, “Honoring Achievement—Inspiring Future Generations,” came to life as scholars, graduates, families, friends, honorees, community leaders, and supporters gathered to celebrate the promise and accomplishments of our young people.
The luncheon gave us the opportunity to recognize educational achievement, honor those who serve our communities, remember lives affected by gun violence, and demonstrate what is possible when young people are surrounded by encouragement and opportunity.
To our guests, donors, sponsors, board members, volunteers, vendors, program participants, and friends: thank you. Whether you purchased a ticket, made a donation, offered your time, shared information about the luncheon, or simply joined us in celebration, you contributed to the success of this special day.
During the luncheon, we also introduced the Power of 100 Monthly Giving Program, which will become an important part of our end-of-year fundraising campaign.
The idea is simple but powerful: if 100 caring people each commit to giving $10 a month, together we can raise $12,000 every year to educate, mentor, and inspire young people.
Monthly gifts will help support our Four-Year Book Scholarships, the Silva Umokoro Mentoring Program, the Ambassadors of Peace Club, and our Honor Life Presentations and Art Contests.
