We are pleased to partner with StartUp Africa to distribute geometrical sets to students preparing for their upcoming national examinations across Kisii and Nyamira counties.

A small contribution can make a meaningful difference, helping students prepare with confidence and equipping them with resources that support everyday learning.

The initiative was launched at Tambacha Secondary School in Kisii County, where our President, Ben Mosaisi, and StartUp Africa’s Director of Programs, Abraham Odongo, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting young leaners across the region.

Our commitment goes beyond exam season. We continue to build and expand partnerships and put initiatives into action that support student welfare, improve learning conditions and provide the resources young people need to thrive.

To every student preparing for national examinations: keep working hard and believe in your potential. We are rooting for you! 💙

Young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow — they are already shaping the world today.

We are especially proud of the young people on our team who continue to make a difference at the grassroots. Through their work, they reach students who need support most — encouraging them, following up on their progress, offering guidance, and helping them stay connected to opportunities that can move their lives forward.

Whether they are students, caregivers, creators, workers, volunteers, entrepreneurs or advocates, young people deserve the opportunity to grow and contribute. Yet many are navigating increasing pressures, uncertainty, rapid digital change and limited access to meaningful opportunities to learn, work and thrive.

We believe young people deserve more than encouragement. They deserve practical skills, trusted mentors, opportunities to grow, and spaces where their voices and ideas can lead.

Term 2 tested Kenya’s students, parents, and teachers with unprecedented challenges—from unrest and funding delays to CBC hurdles. As learners break for the August holidays, our focus shifts from classroom stress to home support.

Education doesn’t stop during holidays; it just changes form. Here is how we can keep our youth engaged, safe, and learning life skills this break:

Parents: Pass on practical life skills—budgeting, cooking, basic repairs—and keep lines of communication open.

Communities: Organize local sports, reading clubs, mentorship, or volunteer projects to keep young minds active.

Akombe Foundation: We are committed to providing safe spaces, mentorship, and community-building programs for our youth.

Let’s turn this break into an opportunity to guide and recharge our students together.
