OC Hispanic Education Endowment Fund

Our mission is to improve access to higher education for Orange County’s Hispanic/Latino students.

HEEF was established over 24 years ago by generous donors and visionaries, in partnership with the Orange County Community Foundation, in an effort to inspire, enhance, and improve educational opportunities and academic potential of OC Hispanic students. The Orange County Hispanic Educational Endowment Fund (HEEF) serves students who have attended high school in Orange County (OC), California and

been residents for a minimum of four years and are intending to enroll in a university program. HEEF offers competitive academic scholarships for Orange County high school and community college transfers, and additionally, awards tuition grants for students at selected Santa Ana, CA Catholic Grammar Schools, and provides scholarships for OC college graduates to attend Law School. HEEF’s goal is to enhance educational opportunities and to improve students’ educational expectations and opportunities. The Fund is a resource to academically talented Hispanic/Latino youth that need to overcome financial barriers to complete a college degree.

College isn’t completed in a single year—it’s a journey.

That’s why HEEF is transitioning to a unified scholarship program that will provide:
✔️ $2,500 per year
✔️ Renewable for up to four years
✔️ Up to $10,000 in scholarship support

This evolution honors our past while providing deeper, long-term support for future scholars.
