🚒 **August Training at SVFD!** 💦

Southgate Volunteer Fire Department recently conducted our August training, focusing on pump operations and water supply. Our members spent time working with Engine 1 and a dump tank, practicing the skills needed to efficiently establish and maintain a water supply during emergency operations.

Our members also had the opportunity to practice driving and maneuvering our apparatus to our designated fill stations, helping ensure everyone is familiar with the routes and procedures when responding to a call.

And, of course, when you have a dump tank full of water on a hot day, the kids couldn’t let all that water go to waste! 😂💦 They took advantage of the opportunity to cool off and have a little fun after training.

We’re proud of our members for continuing to train, learn, and prepare to serve our community! ❤️🚒

Yesterday, SVFD was able to participate in a water pump training at Holly Creek Fire Department. Our team was able to practice pumping water from the creek to an Engine and of course couldn’t let the water go to waste with a high heat index! 💦🚒
