All the Sentinels are out of the bank building storage and back on the property of the Ionia County Historical Society.
Thank you Jeffrey Verduin for your help cleaning the Sentinels and for the terrific lunch! Helping today include Lori Sue Johnson, Ally Cook, Annette and David McCord, Bryan Kimble , Mary Swartz Kimble, Bill Simons and myself, Kathleen Cook. Thanks to Barbara Marie Ehlert who has helped us in the past and Linda Ciangi for making sure that these precious papers got in our hands. They are in good hands now. Lastly, thanks to my husband, Greg Cook for building us shelves.

Pictured here are David McCord and Gary Betz in front of the display they put together to commemorate Ionia's railroad heritage. The display was created for the Tri-River Historical Museum Network's annual "Spring Into The Past" event which kicks off the summer season for 30 local historical museums. The information will be in place for several weeks at the Blanchard House in Ionia, so when you visit the house you can see it for yourself. Summer Sunday tours begin on May 31st between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!

I am looking for volunteers to help with spring cleaning at the Blanchard House on April 17th and 19th from 1 til 4 both days. If you can only spare an hour or so, that is fine too. Every little bit helps. I have all the necessary supplies.
