The Ionia Free Fair parade was a great celebration of our historic 250 year milestone. Bryan and Mary Kimble drove, David and Annette McCord were properly attired for the occasion upon the float, and Jeff VerDuin and Lori Johnson handed out fans with our upcoming events.

We will have a small float in the free fair parade this year. We are making fans with save the date information on them to pass out along the route. Are there any members who would care to join us walking the parade route and help us distribute the fans? Bryan will be driving our tow vehicle, a spacious air-conditioned SUV, which will provide respite in case you need a break.

David and Annette will be on the float in colonial costume. Those of us handing out the fans just need to be dressed for the heat.

As the heat wave continues, once again we will be closed on Sunday. We are so sorry for any inconvenience. We are still available by appointment.

Please continue to keep the positive thoughts coming in hopes of obtaining an HVAC grant.

The current heatwave is awful. Due to precautionary measures, we have decided to cancel Wednesday's potluck.

Please remain optimistic that our grant application for HVAC replacement and porch chinking will be successful.

The Blanchard House will be closed to visitors on Sunday, July 5th due to extreme heat.

There was a lovely bridal shower at the Blanchard House this weekend. The future bride and groom gave us permission to post some photos of their joyous event.
