πŸ’Ό Small Business Owners: Help May Be Available

If your business suffered physical damage or economic losses as a result of Ice Storm Fern (January 23–27, 2026), assistance may be available through the U.S. Small Business Administration's disaster loan program.

The SBA recently confirmed that loans remain available for eligible businesses affected by the storm. These loans may help cover:
βœ”οΈ Physical damage to buildings, equipment, inventory, and other business property
βœ”οΈ Economic injury resulting from storm-related disruptions

According to SBA representative Suzanne Buchanan, the deadline to apply for physical damage assistance has been extended until August 10, 2026.

If your business experienced storm-related losses, don't assume you won't qualify. Take a few minutes to review the program and determine whether assistance may be available.

Please share this information with fellow business owners who may benefit from this opportunity.

Together, we can help our local businesses recover and continue moving forward.

βœ… Upload a company logo or representative business photo
The form takes less than five minutes to complete and will help us create a more useful resource for residents, visitors, and potential customers.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Red, White, and Blue for America 250 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

As our nation approaches the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Indianola Garden Club and the Crepe Myrtle Garden Club invite everyone to help make Indianola shine in red, white, and blue!

You can join the celebration by:
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Flying an American flag
🌺 Planting red, white, and blue flowers
🏑 Decorating flower pots by your front door or mailbox
πŸŽ€ Adding patriotic touches to your home or business

Together, we can create a community-wide display of patriotism and pride leading up to July 4.

The clubs hope to see red, white, and blue throughout Indianola this summer, and they encourage everyone to take part in this special America 250 celebration.

Let's show our love for our country and our communityβ€”one flag, one flower, and one front porch at a time.

πŸŽ‰ Please Join Us in Welcoming Exceed Physical Therapy to the Indianola Chamber Main Street! πŸŽ‰

The Indianola Chamber Main Street is proud to welcome Exceed Physical Therapy as one of our newest Chamber members.

While Exceed is not new to serving patients in the Mississippi Delta, the practice is preparing for an exciting new chapter as it relocates to its new facility at 310 Highway 82, Suite A in Indianola. We are delighted they have chosen to become part of the Chamber family as they continue growing and expanding their services in our community.

Under the leadership of Kaitlin Hawkins and her dedicated team, Exceed Physical Therapy provides personalized care designed to help patients recover from injury, regain mobility, build strength, and return to the activities they enjoy most. Their patient-centered approach focuses on individualized treatment plans and compassionate care every step of the way.

Exceed works closely with physicians and healthcare providers throughout the region to serve patients recovering from surgery, sports injuries, orthopedic conditions, balance issues, chronic pain, and other physical challenges. Patients must be referred by a physician, and the clinic accepts many major insurance plans.

As Chamber members, Exceed Physical Therapy joins a network of businesses and organizations committed to strengthening Indianola and improving the quality of life for the people who call our community home. We appreciate their investment in Indianola and look forward to supporting their continued success.

If you have not yet met the Exceed team, we encourage you to learn more about their services and help us give them a warm Indianola welcome.

Celebrating a Legacy of Service

Recently, the City of Indianola and Mayor Ken Featherstone recognized three dedicated employees whose combined service to our community spans an impressive 74 years. Assistant Fire Chief Bill Alford, City Sexton Charles McClatchy, and Public Works Secretary Ruthie Hamilton have each devoted significant portions of their careers to serving the citizens of Indianola.

When we think about what makes a community strong, we often think about new businesses, new homes, and new investments. Those things certainly matter. Equally important, however, are the people who faithfully serve year after year, often without seeking recognition or praise.

For decades, Bill Alford helped protect lives and property through his service with the Indianola Fire Department. Charles McClatchy cared for one of the community's most sacred places, ensuring families could honor loved ones with dignity and respect. Ruthie Hamilton provided the organization and administrative support that helps city operations run efficiently every day.

Seventy-four years of combined service represents more than time on a payroll. It represents thousands of workdays, countless challenges solved, and a commitment to making Indianola a better place for all of us.

The Indianola Chamber Main Street joins the City of Indianola in expressing our sincere appreciation to Bill Alford, Charles McClatchy, and Ruthie Hamilton. Their dedication reminds us that strong communities are built by people who consistently show up, work hard, and serve others.

Congratulations on your well-earned retirements, and thank you for your many years of service to Indianola.

Some organizations change lives quietly, one family and one home at a time.

Delta Grace continues to make a tremendous difference across the Mississippi Delta by helping homeowners who may not have the resources to make critical repairs on their own.

Through the work of dedicated volunteers and generous supporters, Delta Grace helps provide safer homes, improved accessibility, and renewed hope for families throughout our region.

Their mission reminds us that strong communities are built when neighbors care for neighbors. Whether repairing a roof, building a wheelchair ramp, or addressing essential home maintenance needs, Delta Grace demonstrates the power of service in action.

If you are looking for a meaningful way to give back, consider supporting Delta Grace through a financial contribution or by volunteering your time and talents.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ History buffs, mark your calendars! Don’t forget!

Join us Thursday evening at the B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center for another installment of the America 250 celebration featuring Ken Burns' acclaimed documentary series on the American Revolution.

Ken Burns has a remarkable gift for bringing history to life. Through compelling storytelling, historical accounts, and powerful imagery, this series explores the events, challenges, and sacrifices that helped forge our nation.

As America approaches its 250th birthday, this program offers an excellent opportunity to reflect on the people and principles that shaped our country's founding.
