🎄💚 Idalou Wildcat 4-H Spreads Holiday Cheer! 💚🎄

Our Idalou Wildcat 4-H Club (Lubbock County 4-H) was excited to receive a $1,000 Community Service Grant from the Texas 4-H Foundation and Walmart as part of Walmart’s 50 Years in Texas celebration! 🎉🛒💚

With this support, our members created 32 Christmas gift boxes 🎁 for residents of the Idalou Library of Legacies and local Meals on Wheels recipients. Each box included:
🧦 slipper socks
💄 chapstick
🧼 hand soap & lotion
🎄 a Christmas tree cake
🛏️ a cozy blanket
✨ a personalized ornament

Our 4-H’ers packed the boxes at our December 8th meeting, then delivered them while Christmas caroling 🎶 at the Library of Legacies. The next day, four members helped deliver the gifts and meals to Meals on Wheels recipients 🚗💚.

We’re so proud of our youth for giving back in such a meaningful way this holiday season! 🌟
Huge thank you to the Texas 4-H Foundation and Walmart for making this project possible! 🙌🎄

Our September meeting was full of information and fun as we welcomed former members and new faces! We were happy to host our extension agent, Ronda Alexander, who gave us general 4-H information to lay the foundation for the year. Club officers demonstrated upcoming contests with a Fall Contest Blitz. Our members were also able to pack Snack Pack for Kids.

We hope you can join us tomorrow for more fun, a community service opportunity, door prizes, and information. The McDonalds are collecting deodorant if you’re able to bring some.
