Hello, Trailblazer District!

It has been an honor to serve on the District Committee for the past several years, with this last year as your District Chair.

I have met and volunteered with some of the finest Scouters in my Scouting history while in Trailblazer District—Scouters whose zeal and enthusiasm for Scouting are inspired and contagious.

Trailblazer has a rich history, and I am thankful to have been there to witness and contribute to it. I look forward to volunteering with each of you as we build a new history of the Pathfinder District.

Thank you for all you have given to the program, to your units, and ultimately to our youth.

Hey Trailblazers, I wanted to take a quick second to say my goodbyes to the District, but more important to thank you for everything.

Many of you may not know my story, but I started as a Tiger Cub in Trailblazer. I did all of my Cub Scouting days in Trailblazer, then crossed over, into Troop 144. I earned my Eagle Scout rank there in 2005. I joined an Explorer post until I turned 21, then went to focus on my career for a few years. 6 years ago I came back to my Troop in Trailblazer to start giving back. I got hooked in with the promise of only an hour a week (per Scout cough cough) and chaired different District committees and became the Roundtable Commissioner.

I say all this not to brag but to show that I am a die hard Trailblazer, and for the last 4 years I fought against the new District...unless it was done right. I am here to tell you it is done right. I am proud of the legacy of our district and I am celebrating it, but I also know we have a duty to make the Boy Scouts of America the best program it can be for the youth of tomorrow. The new District alignments will do that.

I celebrate that tomorrow at 12pm Trailblazer will post its final post, and Pathfinder District will post its first.

Thank you all for the sweetest of memories, and I’ll see you in the new District.

Happy Trails to you Trailblazer District !! I was proud to serve as your Camporee Chair for three years.....still trying to fit in some type of “mini Camporee” before it is too late. Great memories, great Scouts, great Leaders !! Looking forward to new friends and memories in OUR new District !! Happy Scouting everyone !!!
