WA Porter PTA

At Porter, we are so grateful for our incredible teachers and what better way to show our appreciation than by giving them the gift of time?

On Friday, October 23 we’re inviting volunteers to step in for just one hour by volunteering in the Library or on the Playground. While you’re helping in your
designated area, the kids will rotate between the two spaces every 30 minutes... meaning you’ll get a chance to see the fun while giving teachers a well-deserved break.
It’s a simple, meaningful way to say “thank you”

There’s something special about seeing Porter through the eyes of our grandparents! We loved hearing why they love our school, what makes the Porter community so special, and how much it means to share moments like Grandparents’ Day with their grandchildren.
We’re so grateful for the grandparents who are such an important part of our Panther family!
And today is the LAST DAY to join Porter PTA be entered in our Grandparents’ Membership Contest! Grandparents who join at www.joinPTA.org will be entered for a chance to win an extra recess and popsicle party for their grandchild’s class!

We hope our Panthers are busy creating their Reflections entries!

This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me,” and here are a few prompts to help students think more deeply about the theme and spark some creativity.

Remember, Reflections isn’t just about artistic ability - it’s also about how thoughtfully students interpret and express the theme. Whether they’re creating visual art, writing, composing music, taking photographs, making a film, or choreographing a dance, we can’t wait to see what “culture” means through their eyes!
📅 Don’t forget: All Reflections entries are due to the front office Friday, October 16.
