To the parents of the two children who have been drawing chalk art on the street in broad daylight, I want to note that I have documented the situation and have already informed the appropriate authorities.

While it may be viewed by some as harmless play, the entire street has essentially been turned into a public drawing surface. This is a shared residential area where people live, walk, and drive every day, and most neighbors work hard to keep it clean and orderly.

It has been frustrating to see the pavement treated as a canvas without consideration for the wider community. I am unsure where supervision was during these incidents, but responsibility ultimately rests with the parents.

If your children were involved, I ask that you ensure the area is cleaned properly and take the time to explain why this type of behavior is not appropriate in a shared public space. I hope this can be addressed quickly so it does not continue or escalate.
