It is the smallest reminders that can give us a moment to pause and remind us that, wherever we are in life, whatever we may be struggling with, you can do this.

Do not give up. Embrace the hard things. It is okay to feel.

Be the unstoppable you that you are and embrace that the sky is the limit.

Look at how far you have come, be proud, and celebrate you!

Our Outreach team is hard at work putting together more Hygiene Care Kits to bring into the community and meet people where they are.

The Hygiene Care Kits include tissues, lip balm, a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss picks, wet wipes, our Outreach team’s contact information, and our Support and Resources card.

We are so thankful for the individuals and businesses who helped to make these kits happen.

When available through donations or other in-kind support, we can also include sunscreen, shampoo, conditioner, and deodorant. These essentials can be difficult for participants to access on their own, so donations of these items are a meaningful way to support this work.

Want to get involved? We are looking for businesses to host our Hygiene Basic Essentials Donation Drive bins. If interested reach out to Michele Morehouse at [email protected].

Our Perennial Garden is receiving lots of love this week with so many activities going on!

We’re excited to share the latest from our Seed to Supper Program with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Warren County and the Warren County Master Gardeners, and the residents from our residential programs.

This week, participants mapped out planting plans for four raised beds, learned proper seedling planting techniques, and got their hands in the soil bringing it all to life.

Many people experience mental health challenges in silence, and men in particular are often taught not to speak up.

Nearly 1 in 10 men experience depression or anxiety, but less than half receive treatment. This can stem from, culture, fatherhood, race, and socioeconomic status can all affect how men experience and address mental health struggles. So, we recognize the importance of creating space where all men feel safe asking for help, speaking honestly, and being supported.

So this Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, join us in helping to open the conversation, encouraging everyone to speak up and ask for help! You are not alone.

We love our green spaces at our Wellness Garden! This month, in honor of Perennial Garden Month, we are highlighting our Perennial Garden.

Our Perennial Garden is home to six raised beds, flower beds, and herb beds. Our perennial garden is one of our projects that has seen the most transformation over the last 2 years. From going to short-term replacement beds to our permanent, galvanized raised beds, replacing mulch, tearing down a small old greenhouse, fixing our water system, and adding more soil, it is becoming an ever-evolving space.

Currently, some of the raised beds are a part of the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Warren County Seed to Super program, which we are hosting with our clients, and will be home to different flowers and herbs this growing season. Flowers and herbs will be available when we kick off our Weekly Farmers Market season at the end of June.

Sometimes it is easy to forget what someone maybe going through especially when we do not see the struggle on the surface. Whether is manifests in physical or emotional aspects.

Each of us are human. Those going through recovery are no different. Showing that you are not alone in your lived experience, that support exists, and that it is okay to get help matters.

Let's create that safe space together. If you or someone you know is struggling with their recovery from mental health, substance use, or addiction, our Dual Recovery group is a safe, non-judgmental space led with peer support.

We were feeling the love yesterday at our Wellness Garden thanks to Pine Knolls Alliance Church and their "Genuine Love" Day.

From helping in the kitchen to tackling outdoor projects, their volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work. They helped clear brush and weeds, spread stone, and even pressure-washed the garage as we continue to make improvements and prepare for future Wellness Garden projects.

A heartfelt thank you to Pine Knolls Alliance Church and all the volunteers. Your time, energy, and support help our Wellness Garden continue to grow and thrive.

PRIDE month is here!

Every person has a story, a voice, and an identity that deserves to be respected and embraced. Pride is an opportunity to recognize the value of living authentically and the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels welcome, supported, and empowered to be themselves.

Let's uplift the voices in our communities, honor identities, promote visibility, and support mental health and wellness for all.
