Good morning HoCo ☀️!

I am super excited. I get to see my favorite little besties and their mom this morning...lol. We're heading over to Lake Elkhorn. The weather looks amazing out right now.

How is everyone doing? Hanging in there? Just one more day of school 🚌, then it's summer break! We are so close.

What are you doing with your kids this summer? My youngest is 16. He'll be working on his learner's permit 🚗. No job yet, but I will have him doing things around the house for sure.

I hope you had a great weekend. What a gorgeous day out today. I hope you got a chance to get out and enjoy the weather.

It was also the last full day of school for HCPSS. The rest of the week, the kids get out early!

What's for dinner? We have chicken out, but I am not sure what we're doing with it...lol.

🏊‍♀️☀️ Summer Pool Season is HERE in Columbia!

If your kids are already asking, "Can we go to the pool?" every five minutes, you'll be happy to know that the Columbia Association's outdoor pool season is officially underway! With 23 outdoor pools throughout Columbia, there are plenty of places to cool off this summer. 🌊☀️

One thing to keep in mind: not all pools operate on the same schedule. Hours vary by location and change throughout the season, especially before and after Howard County schools let out for summer break. Some pools offer lap swim, swim team practices, adult-only swim times, and family recreation swim at different times throughout the day.

Before loading up the towels, sunscreen, snacks, goggles, floaties, extra snacks, and the snacks your kids swore they didn't need but will definitely ask for later 😅, check the Columbia Association pool schedules online to make sure your pool is open when you plan to visit.

Columbia Association has 23 outdoor pools across the community, including pools with slides, splash features, wading pools, and family-friendly amenities.

🎒🥪 **Howard County Moms: We’re Almost There!** 🥪🎒

Can we all take a moment to celebrate the fact that we're entering the final stretch of school lunch packing season? 😂

Somewhere back in August, we started with Pinterest-worthy lunch ideas, neatly sliced fruit, homemade snacks, and a determination to provide "balanced nutrition."

Fast forward to now...

✅ One slightly bruised apple
✅ A handful of Goldfish poured directly from the box
✅ Whatever granola bar was closest to the door
✅ A juice pouch that may or may not have survived the school year in the pantry

And somehow our kids still come home asking, "What's for lunch tomorrow?" like we haven't packed approximately 180 lunches already. 🤣

To all the Howard County parents who have spent the last 10 months searching for missing lunch boxes, washing water bottles at 10 PM, and trying to figure out what happened to all 47 ice packs you bought in September...

🏆 YOU DID IT.

Just a few more lunches to go before summer break officially begins and the kids can start asking for snacks every 12 minutes instead.
