THE TEAM GROWS 🐝👑
The Miss Georgia Volunteer Organization welcomes A’Leah Burrell as Director of the Honeybee Princess Program.
A’Leah brings pageant experience, organizational leadership, creativity, and a genuine heart for young women to the role. Her own journey began in a very similar place. Growing up in Virginia, she entered pageantry as a pre-teen contestant, which led to nearly two decades in the Miss America Organization. What started as another chance for a competitive dancer to tap and perform onstage shaped the confident woman, leader, performer, and mentor she is today.
Along the way she earned numerous talent, interview, and preliminary awards, and finished as Second Runner-Up to Miss Georgia 2022. The lasting gifts came far beyond the stage: communicating with confidence, leading with purpose, serving her community, handling success and disappointment with grace, and encouraging the girls coming behind her.
Professionally, A’Leah works as a Project Management contractor for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. She also serves as Artistic Director of Carla’s Dance Factory in Fayetteville, Georgia, where she leads faculty, shapes programming and productions, and helps young performers discover confidence, discipline, individuality, leadership, and a sense of belonging.
As Director, A’Leah wants every princess to feel celebrated, included, and important; to make friendships and memories; and to see confident, accomplished women modeling leadership, service, kindness, and authenticity.
A’Leah knows firsthand what can begin when a little girl is invited into the room. Years ago, she was that little girl. Today, she considers it a privilege to help hold the door open for the next one.
Please join us in welcoming A’Leah to the MGAV family! 👑🍑🐝
