We are honored to be able to help our community in this way this summer. We have been working very hard to be able to make this happen four the children in Houghton Lake school district since the school district is getting some much needed upgrades in their kitchen and will not be able to provide this service this summer. If you know any family that has children who could benefit from this weekly food distribution please pass this information along. We will be doing weekly breakfast and lunch distribution on Wednesdays from 12 pm to 2 pm, outside of the Roscommon County Food Pantry.

Just as a reminder we will not be open on Memorial Day. We will reopen on Thursday May 28th. If there is an emergency between now and Thursday you can call the food pantry food number at 989-202-4889. Please do not leave facebook messages. You will get a faster response if you call the phone directly. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday. Have a safe Memorial Day Weekend.

FOOD GIVEAWAY MONDAY!!
Starting at 10am at St. Vincent de Paul, 329 W. West Branch Rd in Prudenville. Stay in your vehicle, clear out space in your trunk or car. Open to ALL in need of food. Please do not line up before 9am.

I cannot thank the Moose Lodge #1616 enough for their out pouring of support. I would first like to thank the women of the Moose Lodge for their check for $300.00. We would also like to thank everyone for all of the food that was donated. This is very helpful. We would also like to thank a couple of the individuals who came up and each gave us a monetary donation Debra and Erin. Everything that we got today will help. It takes everyone’s help and support to make this pantry successful. The Moose Lodge has made several donations over the past 6 months, this is the 4th time they have donated to the Roscommon County Food Pantry. Let’s make sure that we reach out to the Houghton Lake Moose Lodge #1616 and show them how much we appreciate their support.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that made our fundraiser on April 20th such a huge success. We had a huge outpouring of support from our community businesses who donated everything from gift certificates to baskets of goodies to Detroit Tigers baseball tickets, quilts and so much more. There were so many businesses that donated that I cannot begin to name them all.

One of the donations that we got for our silent auction is a whole pig. The value of this item is $850.00. Whoever wins this auction item the cost of the processing will be covered. The pig all ready to go we just need someone to win this auction item.

An anonymous donor just donated these two lottery ticket items for our silent auction. We also received a bottle of peach liquor and a $25.00 gift card from Copper Kettle. Sullivans Solutions has put together an amazing outdoor Michigan themed basket of goodies. We have a few auction items that the kids will be interested to bid on as well.

Our community has really been very generous with their donations. Let’s show this community how we can come together to help feed our friends and neighbors by coming out and supporting this event put on by the Roscommon County Food Pantry.
